Cape Town Ostrich Ranch
The ostrich farm is one of the best places I've visited. There are ostriches, ducks, chickens and goats and you can feed them. You can also ride an ostrich without walking with it. There is a store that sells things made of ostriches, and there is a restaurant that serves ostrich steak and burgers, and the taste was very delicious

This ostrich farm is more than a farm; it’s a whole experience in what can only be described as beautiful surroundings. It’s free to enter and the lawns are manicured for summer picnics. The restaurant serves well-prepared food and they cater for both indoor and outdoor seating. If it’s cold, you can use one of the many blankets (and there’s a fireplace) to keep warm. The food is tasty and the service is top class. There’s also the store onsite selling premium ostrich leather products, gem stones, eggs and feathers. Pricing isn’t cheap, but the quality is excellent. You can pick up bracelets for about R50 ($2) and the kids can pick gem stones from their own scratch patch for about R42 per bag.The ostrich museum is part of a tour on offer for about R109 ($5) per person and you can get that picture of you standing on a real ostrich egg.The farms animals outside provide entertainment for young kids and it’s safe because they are safely fenced off. I’m not so sure about the geese though ;-)On our visit, someone had stolen all the goats, but no doubt those will be replaced.A lovely experience, not too difficult to find and caters for a wide variety of people.

This is an absolute gorgeous and adorable ostrich ranch near Cape Town, SA; once home to the very special dwarf ostrich Tom Thumb"... Sadly he isn't anymore but you still can feel him through the stories that the ranch helps have to share... Don't miss sitting on an Ostrich out here... It's an experience you wouldn't want to miss..."

One of the best places to spend your time as a tourist, they have a farm of Ostrich where you can feed them, and then there is a great restaurant to eat the Ostrich Meat! Very recommended.

Nice venue for a family outing. Some farm animals and playground for the kids. They also have a restaurant with a limited menu. There was only 3 breakfast options to choose from and 1 menu item wasn't available on the morning we went. They also have a fabulous shop selling beautiful ostrich leather products and other wonderful items.

You can easily spend the whole morning / afternoon here! We had lunch while the kids enjoyed the playground. Menu is to the point, but I believe everyone will be able to find something they like on it. Thereafter we had the guided tour presented by Omar Omar. If you have 45min to spare - its totally worth it!! He is such a friendly guide and very knowledgeable when it comes to the animals, he even offered more than one family photo with lots of tips on taking the best angled pictures. They also have “boer bokke” you can hand feed at no cost, apart from the feed itself. Definitely worth the visit!

Finally adding my review to this place.. I took all 3 my kids for their school projects.. did the tour 3 times and everytime the kids enjoyed their experience.. their projects were awesome.. they stood on an Ostrich egg.. we bought some dusters etc. They went for the ostrich ride. The guide explained about ostriches being attracted to shiny things and only while driving on the N2 at another farm did we see what that meant when all the ostriches ran toward the car as the mirror was reflecting in their eyes.. it was amazing to see after learning from this farm.. I will post more pics soon when I find them .. buy a must for ur kids
