We had a delicious dinner at the Black sheep. The restuarants is very cozy and the staff friendly. Highly recommended!

Excellent meal and great service. Highly recommend the warthog pasta and kudu dishes, and don’t skip dessert. So so good! Service was fairly quick and we were able to get a table without a reservation.

Very loud but food was good. The chef came out and asked me because of allergies, that was so nice and professional! Had a good wine and conversation so everybody enjoyed! Would recommend if you don’t have a problem with noisy places ;-)

Excellent restaurant, the food is great and people are very nice. I highly recommend if you’re in Cape Town, but do not forget to make a reservation, it seems like it’s always busy !

Super place! Fun atmosphere, great service, amazing cocktails (have to try the lemon drop martini!), and food that tops it all. We had very attentive service, to include multiple table visits by the manager, and a conversation with the owner. Highly recommend.

Black Sheep Restaurant
This is a great local restaurant serving local dishes and some Asian inspired ones. It's very difficult to get a table and you're unlikely to get one of you walk in, you'll need to phone and book.It's very busy and popular. The staff were very efficient and friendly. The grilled Kudo was perfectly cooked. The Burmese pork curry was fine but not too remarkable.

We dropped in for a quick lunch and were suitably impressed to make a dinner reservation on the spot. After sampling a number of their dishes, I can honestly say they serve an excellent plate of food. It is not NOT fancy-smancy, but it is rather a well prepared, well presented, flavourful and unpretentious meal.Similarly the staff are just real human about it. There is an easy-but-professional friendliness to Black Sheep, and I can see why so many people fall in love with the place.The atmosphere has a lot to do with the number of people. What felt like a sparsely decorated space at lunch, was a full, bustling hive of sound and sight at dinner. Investigating the decor and furniture, you'll notice that Black Sheep is all about the odd one out. It makes for a wonderful aesthetic, however, some of the chairs and sections of the bench running along the wall have seen too many posteriors and are quite uncomfortable.

Good food, ambiance and price! Liked so much that I went twice on my short holiday to Cape Town.Make sure to book a reservation upfront!
