We just had the most delicious Boerekos " (home- cooked) lunch ... generous helpings

The Kliphuis is a one of a kind little old-fashioned restaurant with a unique antique ambiance and traditional dishes. There's also a small nursery and an antique shop, live music as well as a tea-garden. A must visit when you're in Graaff-Reinett.

If you're looking for good quality food and a relaxing atmosphere, you will find it here. I was in Graaff-Reinet a few days before just as a stop-over on my way to George so I could not spend as much time here as I would have liked. On my way back the road led me through Graaff-Reinet again. This time I was adamant about stopping somewhere for breakfast. I saw Die Kliphuis" and decided to try it out. Best decision ever! I was served good ole "Moer koffie" and fresh-out-of-the-oven Lamb Pie. I'm usually sceptical of eating lamb as most people don't prepare it properly. I was gladly proven wrong at Die Kliphuis. If given the chance

What a great find. We were driving through Graaff Reinet and all the places we were hoping to visit was still closed.I really like antique shops and we were looking for some food. Saw the sign for this lovely place as we drove past and decided this 2 for 1 looks interesting.I am so glad we stopped. The owner welcomed us in along with Fiela...his beautiful and friendly dog.You eat between the antiques and it was wonderful to walk around and look at everything that is for sale while you wait for your food. Seems like there is no set menu, but all the options for the day sounded perfect. The food was really amazing, proper homestyle cooking. Wish we could have stayed for dessert, but we still had a long way to go for the day.Do yourself a favour, skip the top 10 places to visit in Graaff Reinet" website recommendations and come and eat here. A lovely, family friendly place that serves the most delicious home made meals.Inside you are mesmerized with all the antiques on display, making it feel like a home scene out of the good old days. Trip down memory lane for sure. Outside the beautiful tea garden, quietly inviting you you to take a stroll through the unique nursery.

A cosy and homely coffee shop with a relaxing atmosphere. Wonderful menu with enough but not irritating personal attention. A great place to relax and catch up on emails, or meet up with friends
