Took an hour and a half to prepare steak. Food was cold on collection. Chips were not cooked. Toasted steak specials were half toasted chip specials with barely any steak or flavour. Customer service is appalling. Don't waste your money.

Poor, Poor service. I waited 40 minutes whiles the shop was buying bread...this is after learning that some of my earlier order were unavailable. The lady behind the counter supposedly phones to find how far the bread delivery was, but was not willing to ask the exact location. I would not be surprised if these ladies are ill-treated at this shop. I would discourage anyone who cares for other people's lives and expect reasonable service

Don't ever ..and I mean ever even think of buying food here .: So Akals has always represented great quality Family food and affordable prices .This specific store has new owners by the looks of it.they've definitely lowered the quality of ingredients, don't even spice the food properly.Ive eaten here quite often but never experienced anything less than quality good tasting food. The new owners obviously applied their known model of doing the food business by cutting costs and quality to make what is known as just FOOD!.Thing is ...if your gonna do that then drop prices as well .Don't go charging the 220 for an Ak and provide substandard food in hope of just making a profit !.A very disappointing purchase...well enough ranting ...never ever again will I...

Probably the worst Akhalwaya’s I’ve tasted, waited 45mins, AK pizza was dry and the base was rock hard.Ordered a chips parcel as well with burnt frikkadel

This is by far the worst Akhalwayas I have ever tasted chips were old and cheap spice just shoved on it..Margherita pizza tast like cardboard and rock hardGarbage pizza was so bad..the dogs didn't want it...polony was burnt..steak was dry...chips was not spiced...base was horrible...cheese was rock hard, even after rewarming itThese people don't deserve to use the name...Rather call yourself 123 takeaways

I have driven past on the M1 many times and finally stopped to try them. Service was efficient but the food was average at best. Ordered the flagship (small) AK47, which is really nothing more than a footlong chiproll with some meat and salad on it. I use the term meat very loosely, as I think for R83 one should expect better quality meat in such a sandwich. At least the portion was so large that no one should still be hungry after having one. So if the size of the portions is important, this is not a bad option; if you’d like more of a culinary experience, I’m sure there are better places.

I will always buy Akhalways food as I love and enjoy the food but this branch never again, the chips were cold and not tasty, steak special was the worst, the new management and cooks are not doing it justice.
