I recommend this place highly. Just stayed the weekend there with the ladies. Darren and his crew are amazing. You can't go wrong staying there. Thank you Darren and everyone involved.

I was doing the 6 day hike im the Drakensberg.After getting lost and spending two nights on the mountain, my partner and I were tired ,hungry and deserted (our lift buddies from cape town had left us behind) we walked around most of the underberg looking for a place to stay at the last minute. We were either turned back, ignored or charged ridiculous prices. Luckily someone suggested the Ceder House, we explained to them that we had just been rescued from the mountain and we were desperate for accommodation but I budget was not enough.The amazing people at the Ceder Garden offered us a discount for accommodation (then turned around and made it a complimentary stay) they truly went above beyond what most hosts and people in general would these days. They organized food for us for the night and breakfast the next day. We were given facilities to do our laundry and we were shown so much kindness and warmth. I have never been more appreciative of the depth of human kindness and generosity. I will definitely be coming back here again, I see some reviews complaining about the prices of some of the rooms, but what these kind hosts offer is more than just a room. They are the epitome of Ubuntu.

Wonderful rooms, wonderful service. The best on our trip of 12 days!

Poorly informed about the accommodation, we were not told it was a communal self catering. The kitchen facility for the self catering was shocking considering we were going to stay for 6 nights. Although we were offered an upgrade to the tree house, we declined as we were already tired of our 9 hour long drive and arriving to disappointment in which we checked the next day.

Friendly guest house. Very clean. Serve only breakfast. Restaurant within walking distance

Thank you to a brilliant host for the most welcoming stay. The most beautiful garden with tons of bird life. Killer sunset views and delicious breakfast. We stayed here two nights. The house and grounds are very nice. The rooms have all the amenities that you need.We were there in winter so the house is a bit cold. We mentioned this to our host and the following day we had an extra blanket and the heater working.Breakfast was very yummy and filling.Our host and the staff were very nice and very willing to help.Great experience. We can’t recommend them enough!!
