Kleinzee Oceanfront Guesthouse

Exceptional stay and experience. The hostess , Monica was exceptional and made the stay warm and welcoming. The accommodation is very clean, comfortable, lovely sea views, lovely fireplace in their lounge/dining room. They make a delicious carrot cake which you can enjoy with a beverage while looking out at the sea. They made us a delicious buffet breakfast starting with an exceptional yogurt, muesli, berry compote and fresh fruit in a glass then a lovely hot breakfast with toast and a juice or a hot drink.. We will definitely be returning to this guesthouse.

What a fabulous getaway spot! In the suite, you have every comfort with the additional luxury of a private suite and braai patio overlooking the magnificent, sprawling bay. The tranquil setting makes for a lovely, relaxing breakfast on the patio extending from the suite. The kitchen area provides all the braai necessities. Netflix and Amazon Prime are conveniently set up.

Exceptional sea view but we got a room without ventilation (no airco, no fan and no window to open at night, because we where on the ground floor and only the door could open (not so safe)). Also we were told on arrival that the room did not have a toilet and bathroom attached to the room. We did get a bathroom for ourselves, but is was very small and​ we had to cross the hallway with the risk to walk into other guests.

The honeymoon suite was a real treat! The hotel is situated in the quiet village of de Kelders, about 10 minutes from the downtown" Gansbaai.Views off the room are great - the house looks directly over the bay.Our hosts were great

We stayed 3 nights in the upper suite in Nov. 22 and it was an outstanding experience.Not only was Monica, the host, super hospitable and welcoming but also her chef, Anna, made our stay special and we felt treated like dearest friends all the time.During the whole time we saw wales swimming directly in front of the coast line, as close as 200-300m away from our balcony. The breakfast was amazing so was Anna’s cheese cake.Check in and communications were very convenient, too. The room itself was super clean and the room service discrete and performed regularly (i.e. twice a day).I can highly recommend Monica’s place with its very good value-for-money-ratio.

We really enjoyed our stay at this guesthouse. The view over the ocean was breathtaking and we even saw some whales. Room was very clean and neat and the breakfast very enjoyable. Will definately recommend.

When we arrived we were welcomed with opened arms, we were shown to our room (pictures do no justice all I can say is wow ) clean spacious and absolutely perfect . However we noticed the dstv was not working. The next morning after an incredible breakfast we notified the house and we went about our day. We returned 3 hours later and they had the technician out and the decoder had been changed . What an absolute delightful weekend! We look forward to coming back soon :)

Elsje, the receptionist is a gem. She gave us all the local dos and donts. Room nice and clean. Towels did not smell good at all. Some toiletries short. The TV did not work, after all attempts were made by us and Elsje.

The exterior photos do not do the interior justice at all. This is a luxurious B&B that is well-appointed and has stunning sea views. We stayed in April 2019 in an upstairs King Suite and really enjoyed the 180-degree sea views, especially in the mornings. The room has a wonderfully comfortable bed, well-equipped bathroom, fridge, DStv and most small things you will need in a B&B. Our hosts, Monica and Marna, were very friendly and looked after us exceptionally well. Delicious morning breakfasts on the balcony were a highlight, the ladies' home-made 'fruit salad' starter was a hit!(Very) slight downsides : the reflection of the sun off the sea can be a bit hectic in the afternoons, and summer would be hot as there is no aircon in the King Suite. The room is geared mostly for eating out or take-out food and is not ideal for self-catering. Privacy on the top floor is not perfect as the balcony is shared with other top-floor guests; although I gather this aspect might be addressed through some renovations soon.Other than that - a wonderful place to spend a few days and use as a base for exploring the many things the area has to offer. One can easily spend a whole day at the nearby Walker Bay reserve or indulging in wine and food in the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley just outside Hermanus.

Breakfast with a fantastic view!Kleinzee superior room has a private balcony. The guesthouse is located in a quiet, picturesque area.Such a comfortable stay is worth the money :)
