Bronberrik parkrun

What a wonderful way to spend a Saturday morning.It was my 50th parkrun and coincidentally International parkrun day being their #13th year.Being in Pretoria for the weekend we had a few venue choices. The closest being the Botanical parkrun ... but on reading that Bronberrik was the 100th official parkrun venue ... and it would be my 13th tourist parkrun ... the stars were aligned and off we went.30 minutes later and we were at 126 Mopani Road, Hennopspark.Race director for the day was Johann and we knew by his warm welcome and engagement with the runners we had chosen well.This parkrun had 242 runners on the day we ran - 7 Oct 2017 - and there is a very good community feel to it.The route takes you around the park twice. You start on a nice flat section, and as you round the corner you are in for a nice hill climb ... and then a lovely downhill to catch your breath before you hit flat again. A very enjoyable route and recommended to other parkrunners - get out and try different venues, you'll be pleasantly surprised.A lovely touch was a juice and water stand that had been set up on the Kilkenny Road grass patch, by local business, Kitsch Kafe - Centurion, for runners and dogs.Thank you to all the volunteers who give of their time freely. The Bronberrick parkrun consists out of 2 laps around an off road track, behind the Hennopspark Primary School, totaling 5 kilometers. The track has a challenging hill which will test your endurance and make the completion thereof so much sweeter! I will definitely recommend this run if you want to get into shape and have some fun while doing it

Great experience. Something to do with the whole family, the dogs included.If you want a run that is challenging, this is the one to do. It doesn't have that many ups or downs, but the one it does have is a challenge.Overall, the volunteer staff are always friendly and very helpful

First time doing the Park run and the volunteers at Bronberrik made it absolutely enjoyable. Nice and challenging route. Friendly runners and safe area to park your car

The area is very clean and well maintained. The park's grass is cut nice and short.There is a bit of a bumpy section going up the hill, not all strollers will be capable of handling the rocky bits.People at the park run are always friendly and parking is adequate.

Love it. Good people, safe place to excercise in nature.

Bronberrik parkrun has a wonderful venue with cheerful, motivated volunteers! If this is not your Saturday morning home, make a turn there, parkrun tourist!

Bronberrik parkrun is a ver y good run on an interesting and somewhat challenging course and is very well organised and run by a very friendly, committed and competent core volunteers group.

Brilliant parkrun venue, well coordinated and efficient in setting up, first-time briefing and welcome and event information. Parkrun announcements clear and my overall experience is I'd happily do it again!

Mostly fat route except for a hige Uphill that you'll have to face twice. Route is also bumpy and mostly flat grass. Good for cross country training. People are always friendly here.
