The Eye Holiday Resort

I was really excited to come and visit this resort as I was last here as a child. Judging by the camping rate per night ( and this falls in the 5 star resort bracket) I assumed that it would be a great experience. The experience was just the opposite.... The swimming pool is lukewarm, the shop barely has any stock, the resort is in serious need of maintenance and the caravan park is not up to standard. There is not enough water taps and all of them are different sizes making it almost impossible to connect a hose pipe ( unless you carry a large variety of fittings). People play their music very loud and no one does anything about it. Being a long weekend one would expect the resort to be ready for all the guests, there are only 3 of the about 8 Jacuzzis working ( the rest is empty and dirty) and then I must pay R80 for 4 people to use it for 20 minutes?????? Put put course ( o again at R10/p) also needs very urgent attention. If you have kids be warned you will pay extra for everything they want to do over and above the high per night rate - R20 per day for super tube...... No thank you this place will never see me again - there are loads of other resorts to choose from..... Choose wisely before you make your booking.

This holiday resort has alot of potential but to be honest needs alot of attention. The shop is so outdated and the place needs some upgrades. They can also do some more effort with their holiday program. And inform all guests of their power issue before arrival to be better prepared.

we enjoyed our stay, but we went there for the hot swimming pools in the school holidays and the pools were empty they were busy fixing it. That was really not nice

This is a great resort with a warm and cold swimming pool with one supertube. There is 2 tennis courts and pool tables. There is a big camping park for visiters and a place to watch wild game but one problem is that elder people live there and you need to respect them and their privacy. I wil recomend this for people who want a relaxing stay amd not an exciting one.

Nice and clean with tasty cheap food. Safe environment for kids to relax. A let down was that Putt-putt area was far from heated pools and spa baths were not maintained / working.

The hot water swimming is ok the super slide was not runnuing and the jacuzzi's are not in working order and the sonna bath is removed and the bar is closed

It is a resort/retirement village. Very nice facilities swimming pools, hot and cold, jacuzzis, put put, fishing, camping, laundry, restaurant, little convenience shop and then even daily medical care for the elderly residents. Always enjoy going there

When you phone and book they are very happy to take your money .Got here and. Booked in .Wanted to swim the pools are all empty no water .When to receptuin and was told pools will be filled next .Next day still no pool water .You pay high price to relaxed and this is the sercice you get .This is the first and last time they will see me

Very relaxing environment close to nature. Friendly people and clean facilities. Good value for money. Chalets, tented chalets and caravan sites are available. Good weather most of the year. Value-for-money restaurant on premises.
