Walkhaven Dog Park

One of the best off-lead dog parks in Jhb. It's a big area that's fenced in so your dogs are safe and there are 2 big dams so they can have a little swim if they want. And then for their humans there's a nice restaurant with delicious food and ice cold beer. It's a pretty spectacular day out for both you and your pups.

Beautiful park for dogs. It has a well kept garden, lawn and pond that all dogs will love. It gas a pizza restaurant if you're hungry and lots of places to sit down and enjoy the scenery.

The atmosphere is jus so relaxed, everyone is there with a like mindset, it's not a ripoff and it's well maintained. You get lots if visits from other dogs but noone is stressed, including the dogs - simply because they are off-leash. Love taking our dogs there, big and small, old and young.

This place is beautiful and lovely but note to dog owners that not all the dogs off leash are actually social in the park. I witnessed another dog being attacked from a distance. The smaller dog was okay after. This is sadly no reflection on the place but rather that if your dog is a potential harm to other dogs keep them on leash and be a responsible pet owner. Anyway we got home to realize that our dog was bit on the ear.

We went late on a Sunday afternoon and it was almost empty, nice space for dogs to walk and lots of water for them to swim in! Make sure your dog is well socialized to take bring them to WalkHaven. Didn't taste the food this time but they have a small restaurant and picnic spots with fixed umbrellas. Lovely place for the dogs!

Felt terribly nervous going and taking my dog off her leash, but what a wonderful place! Loads of space to sit and have a picknick and play with your furry kids, dams for them to swim in, lovely trails to go for a walk, it is just awesome. The dogs love it even more, no fights as it is neutral ground and they can make plenty of friends.

This is a beautiful place to take your beloved dogs and let them roam free without a leash. The area is massive with hiking trails, dams and parks for everyone to enjoy. The restaurant has fantastic food and lots of tables with umbrellas to sit and relax in the shade while the dogs run around with their new friends. The only requirement is that your dogs are socialized and you keep a constant eye on where they are in case they start troubling other dogs or owners. The dogs adapt amazingly well and all calm and respectful in this environment with so many other dogs around. Weekend mornings are very busy due to the popular breakfasts so dont come too hungry. Overall it's a great place to spend the day out with the entire family, furry family members too!

Amazing place. Really friendly staff and people! Dogs have a ball of a time here. Pity that the guy who runs the doggy wash was quite rude but his staff were brilliant! Would definitely visit again but would think twice about using the Wash and Go!

Walkhaven dog park is one of the best possible places for you and your furbabies to visit! The park is well-maintained, very beautiful and allows you to let your dog off the leash to run as far and fast as they possibly can while ensuring their safety and your peace of mind.The park also has a delightful little restaurant you can treat yourself to lunch at! The restaurant is reasonably priced, has friendly staff and decent food.We thoroughly enjoyed visiting and cannot wait to return!
