The management had gone to a lot of trouble for Valentine's evening - red carpet, flowers and the waitresses all wore red. The service was a bit slow and our starter took close on an hour to arrive without cutlery. By the time the cutlery arrived we'd finished eating the Popcorn Prawns which were absolutely delicious (even though they did not have the sesame seeds and spring onions as advertised). The main portions could be a bit more generous, but tasted superb. Overall a pleasant evening at a reasonable price

My dish was wonderful. It exceeded my expectations. The food was so good that I only remembered to take a photo of it, when I was almost finished eating. I had the Prawn Halloumi salad

A recent spur of the moment supper at John Dory's Hartbeespoort during Feb 2023 loadshedding proved be a true 5 star experience. Both the baked and grilled fish were excellent and full of flavour. The chips were hot and crispy. The rice was great and the salad was fresh. Starting and ending a meal with great service left us with a rather pleasant feeling. Nice to see our old faithful maintaing a high standard!

The place was spacious, there were options to sit in or outside, Rutendo, our waitress was really lovely and helpful. Their food was really affordable and the drinks too. I ordered the sole prawn meal and it was so yummy, the best prawns I’ve had to date

Took my parents out for dinner it was so nice, they have yummy cocktails and their food was really good, the only thing was they should ask you what sauce you want on your prawns as the one on mine was not nice. Louisa our waitress was so attentive and sweet special thanks to her
