Great store. Only issue with this store is that you need to watch you cellphone and wallet. Lots of pick pockets on this side...food, store cleanliness etc all great

My local supermarket. A great quick stop for all my grocery needs. For the non perishable items it’s great with wide varieties and everything I need. On the fresh foods and meat side… I’d rather go elsewhere. Their veg and fresh salad items are great for about two days and then go bad. Don’t last very long. Their meat has its days. Some days its great quality and others I’d rather pass than buy some of the produce. It’s either a hit or a miss. But for the rest of the store it’s great and it’s convenient. Can’t be all perfect. And their prices are great too. Especially with their Xtra saver card deals. Definitely helps just before pay day.

The best checkers in 10km radius. Store is clean and well stocked. Staff are friendly

It has convenient parking although the entrances were not always open so it makes it a hassle using the congested entrance at Spar. The parking is free, which is a bonus. The store has been generally clean. Staff is not friendly or engaging. Not a variety of daily cooked meals. Prices are standard as per most Checkers for that size. Staff were obviously worried about negative reporting. It is a good neighborhood store and is not busy. They have all the basics from a bakery, fruit and veggies, a wine section and all the consumer good you would expect. For the convenience it offers, to get in and out it is a much better option to visit than the Checkers Hyper in Fourways mall, which is just around the corner. It is also a bigger and better Checkers than the one in Leaping Frog Shopping centre, which is also in a 3km radius. Checkers prices used to be cheaper than other supermarkets, however that is not the case anymore. The Checkers loyalty card is not a good loyalty card expect for getting specific specials, but there are no ongoing point system in place.

The shop and food choice is good . But then at 9.30am I ask are the spicy chicken strops fresh ? Made this morning? They said yes, I checked they were sure . Yes . I bought 90 zar worth for all if us. I opend the bag while still in chequers to wat one. They were not fresh z no way .. the chicken was tough and the batter hard . This was yesterday's left over no sales put out again today ti sell . I put the bag down in shop snd left so it cost the 90 zar. My son went just after lunch, chicken nicely soft and juicy nice Batter. They lied to ny face to sell me old stock

If you do not get run over or your vehicle damaged by the swarm of Checkers 60 sixty bikes flying around the car park recklessly or car damaged by how they drive on the road then you will definitely be pushed, bumped or bullied in the shopping isles by the sixty 60 guys picking the stock for the orders. They have no care for others

Honestly the cleanest and nicest Checkers (imo) in all JHB. Deli food is prepared daily and you have got to try their chicken strips which are even yummier than fast-food joints and waaay cheaper. The staff are always so friendly and I just LOVE this Checkers so much. Well done guys. I literally only buy my groceries at Checkers. Keep it up!!
