Chamonix Wine Farm
Many visitors get to this remote winery up in the hills above Franschhoek with the wine tramway. This is probably the sanest way to get here if you don't have your own transportation. I chose to hike all the way up here, not an easy climb, but one that is rewarded with incredible scenery which increases in drama as you climb uphill. I sat and relaxed in the shade of the mighty oaks at the estate's wine tasting terrace. It was a well deserved and memorable break.

Very nice wine. Enjoyable tasting experience in a more traditional style tasting room with a fire place. Great for a rainy day although there is also an outside area for a sunnier day. Simple extras like crackers are offered which is important when tasting different wines. The wine and tastings are on the pricey side but lovely varietals and there is a choice of standard vs reserve tasting. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff.

The place has a magnificent view over Franschhoek, the panorama hotel room in incredible. The service is a little odd, breakfast could be better, therefore 4 stars. Although if I would do it over, I would go there again for sure. Btw, I tried to ignore the presence of the stuffed animals a bit, and just hoped they were not shot for the purpose if displaying..

No employees wearing mask and no temperature measuring at the entrance.The place and the service are way bellow the bar when compared to other states around.Besides that, very good wine at a very low price

This a beautiful wine farm located high up in the mountains. The drive up is quite scenic and you get the opportunity to also view ostriches, zebras and horses in a mini game enclosure. The room ( panoramic suite ) itself is spacious with panoramic views and has all the facilities you need!The staff is very accomodating and the place generally has a warm vibe.
