Great customer service, super friendly and helpful staff. If you have a hair crisis or need help and it's totally short notice, Gary Rom Hairdressing Staff at the Grove ,go thee extra mile. Definitely my new favourite place to go when I need to get my hair done.

Thinking about getting my hair cut again, and would love to get it done here as they did a really good job last time. The problem I have with this salon is that they make you feel obligated to purchase expensive products that I end up not using. And this thought alone is making me look elsewhere to get my hair done :/

I have used them twice before my wedding - I was styled by Rescha and she was a sweetheart so I booked her (junior stylist)to do my hair for my wedding. She moved to Cape Town but told me that her colleague would be able to help as it was a simple style. She was not comfortable doing it. I called and spoke to Mya who is more senior and I informed her of the situation, but she said the other junior stylist can do it as it is not complicated. I told her I would not want someone who is not comfortable doing it, as it is for my wedding, and I was willing to pay for the senior stylist or artistic director. Despite being open on a Monday, but only with a junior stylist, and despite booking prior to all this, I still begged to have someone senior come in to style my hair but Mya would not budge. She said she would talk to Hannah and get back to me, but she never did. Rescha was wonderful, but with her gone and after the awful attitude I got, I will never return.

I've only ever been here as a model for students to cut my hair, but the experience has always been very positive. They are all polite and the haircuts I have gotten have always been really fantastic. I highly recommend checking this place out of you're looking for a good quality hair salon.

Very helpful and friendly staff! They make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. Lawhiena did an excellent job on my daughter's hair! We will definitely return.

Epic hair emergency + Gary Rom=Problem solved!I have never been so grateful for my hair and to the awesome stylists at Gary Rom, The Grove Mall who cared for it! This definately comes out tops for customer service, expertise and experience.

My hair is not something I take very seriously. For most of my life I would go to whoever was closest when I would need a haircut.This is the first Salon that has managed to impress me enough to make me want to only go back there now. The staff are friendly, the advice is brilliant and I always get compliments on my hair after I have visited them.I struggle with hair loss and the products (quite expensive) they recommended is actually working. Having said that you have to use it as they advice otherwise you will just be wasting your money.If you are looking for a place that actually cares about your hair, give them a try.

Took my 10 yr old daughter for a trim and treatment. When I made the appointment I specifically asked for a technician who has the skill and patience to work with thick, very long, curly type 3b/3c hair. Instead they ended up having 3 technicians (2 of whom were obviously unqualified) just to blow dry her hair. They kept pulling her hair as they clearly didn't have a clue how to comb through her hair. 3.5 hours later we walked out of the salon, after spending thousands of rands (incl products that actually did nothing for her hair type), with her hair looking dry, damaged and in worse condition than when we arrived there. It was the most painful, horrid first hair salon experience for my daughter.
