It was a very politically charged visit. We ordered drinks and decided to leave as we realised our meal would not be affordable. My husband complained about the prices and our waitor made it sound like we had no right to complain because we earn bigger salaries than him. He had no right to make that assumption. The waitor never returned with our change as well. He must have assumed we can afford a 20% tip.

Great breakfast buffet if not one of the best. Great service and the milkshakes is so nice. Big selection to choose from. The lady who served us had all smiles and was very friendly and professional so I also post a pic of her. Well done and we will certainly be back for more. The Spinner family loved it. Anyone feels welcome and respect to all. Thanks

First time ever to visit, they had load shedding so they were apologising for things not working as well. Breakfast buffet R80 each was great under the circumstances but filter coffees were over R30 each, so 2 each was nearly the price of the breakfast!! Not good value!!

This was my first visit to this particular Mike's Kitchen. I attended a birthday breakfast for a friend. I was pleasantly surprised and impressed with the breakfast buffet. R80ph with a huge selection on offer.On the downside, coffee is not included in the buffet and price per cup was R30. Even though the cup was large, I feel that the restaurants are making at least 300% profit on 1 cup. Every restaurant nowadays no longer offers bottomless coffee and I feel that it is completely unfair. I'm sure that restaurants are going to vigorously defend this charge, in light of the very reasonable buffet price, but when my coffee (3 cups over 2 hours) exceeds the buffet price, I feel that I have been cheated. I am not a big eater but sitting around waiting for all parties to finish breakfast means that I have to have some form of beverage in front of me.Please try this restaurant as, besides my criticism of the coffee, their food offerings and service is truly outstanding.

I am disappointed and deeply disgusted!This morning I went for a breakfast buffet with my family, and it was horrific.When we got up to go get food , there was barely even any food , and when they filled the bain-marie the food was cold and drenched in oil.When the eggs were being made , infront of us , it smelt like fish. The station's were dirty .There was hair food in the food well eating.The only thing I can compliment,is the waiters .We rushed our food and just wanted to leave. We payed the bill and left as soon as we could. I personally think that the food should be kept warm at all times, so that there is no need for a microwave. It comes across as very unprofessional. I am disappointed to say, but I don't recommend this place.

Best weekday lunch menu in town. Not only is the price mouth watering but the steaks are so fresh you would want to meet and kiss the farmer.bring friends bring family on weekend buffets its the perfect place to spend quality time without breaking the bank.especially the rump...you're are sure blow your daily allowance but it's ever well worth it.chilled vibe cosy and well balanced decor will not have you feeling any fatigue. Aside from slightly poor ventilation pound for pound it's now my most valued place to grab a quick but our so delicious meal.

Pleasant enough restaurant but very slow service. No one was manning the door although there is a sign asking customers to wait to be seated. Food took over half an hour (two breakfast dishes) to arrive after ordering. The food itself though was pretty good. I won't make an effort to go back but would utilise them again if options were limited.
