I sent in a dread disease claim 5 months ago. They have deliberately delayed the process. The last medical report they requested was sent to them on the 14th of December. I was advised that the SLA for them to assess the claim once all the documents have been received is 10 working days. Despite numerous follow ups, nothing happened. After I logged a complaint, Liberty came back to me today to say that the underwriting department and medical panel is only looking at my claim this week! I am so disappointed. They are literally playing with their clients' livelihood.

Really disappointed in Liberty, a whole insurance company that takes months and months, story after story to pay out a claim. If you are looking in getting any type of policy, do yourself a favor, don't even consider taking it with Liberty life.In my view, pay your clients their monies and close shop.

Possibly the hardest insurance firm to contact, 15 emails sent from myself and my family members, plus 10 to 15 phone calls over the past three months . None of my emails have been responded to, all I get is an automated response. The call centre is just as bad, every time you call you have to re-explain the issue of non pay out and give us the same run around every time.It is Possible the management is ignoring these bad procedures, so they can prolong the pay out and gain further interest on the pay out . If this is not the case , then it is down right incompetence by them to not improve their systems to be a correct and seamless process. This has already been a difficult period in our families life as we lost both parents in 6 months and now we have to deal with this . Think twice before working with liberty!!!!

Liberty Life is probably the worst company in SA. There inability to resolve a problem. They are only interested in taking your money.

LIBERTY is like a scam you will claim for what is yours and wait more than 12 months without response ! They don't care about their clients , you call them for enquiries about your claims you don't get a clear answer about the payout

If only i had read through these reviews and what i read on Hello Peter i would have avoided the worst, most financial disabling decision of my life, which was choosing Liberty Corporate to safe-guard my pension fund. These people are the worst of the worst. I have made a withdrawal request that has been hanging for 2 months now and i suddenly can not get through their contact center as it has been closed down due to circumstances uncontrolled by them" This a huge insurance company that keeps your money from you by force and delaying tactics. Be careful

Liberty life is a Scam,they are holding my father's pension fund without any reason..we have been promised 7 working days for the 3rd time now .when we enquirer they tell us another story...my father has been attacked by depression now as I type here ..don't ever do business with liberty life. My only step now is to go to head office and I won't go before my father pension fund is paid. I rather die there .

Really concerning dealing with Liberty, after consolidating my pension funds with them they cannot issue proper documentation to SARS. How a financial company survives without being able to issue tax documents to SARS is a miracle. I'll be moving shortly.

I've had a policy with Liberty for my pension fund and some investments.Liberty uses Allan Gray with some of the investments and their own products - The Liberty Products went down from R3 000 to R300 my Allan Grey went up from R25 000 to about R100 000 all in the same time spanTruely a poor firm when it comes to investing, rather use Allan Grey or Prudential or Coronation to invest.To top this all off I cannot withdraw my money, I have called 32 Times in 202w Alone!!Once I speak to someone I get told my call is being transferred to Sales and after 50 minutes of waiting the call cuts...I am very frustrated with Liberty... Please stay clear and go to a more reputable firm.
