What a beautiful experience! Wow wow wow! After 2 days of mountains, clean air and cow mooing echoes my soul feels revitalised and well rested. One of the best experiences of my life.

What a dream. The rooms are so tastefully decorated and the views are breathtaking. We preferred to braai at our place every evening to just enjoy all that we can of the beautiful surroundings. One of our best stays in SA so far!

Ultimate Retreat. Absolutely magnificent. Stunning view. Very expensive fittings and features.A real pity that the attention to detail is lacking. Plenty wood for braai and fireplace and firelighters, but no lighter or matches.Mirror and hairdrier, but no 3pin plug adaptor for hairdrier.Salt, pepper, olive oil, balsamic, coffee pods, but no sugar or milk.No security in front of windows, so windows can't stay open for fresh air in the evenings.

A true hidden gem in this country. We had a phenomenal experience here from start to finish. Our host was absolutely brilliant and the Greenhouse was even better. An amazing escape from the daily hustle. We will be coming back in a years time. Fazenda is paradise.

Absolutely stunning place for a romantic getaway. On a private farm at the foot of the mountain. Gorgeous views all round! Only downside is the baboons, the troop is quite large so we were quite hesitant to go hiking.

We had a lovely time here, I mostly just wanted to sit and stare at the mountains. The indoor fireplace is much needed as it got very cold and we needed an extra blanket on top of the duvet at night so pack your slippers. Bed is huge and a nice soft firm support, we struggled with the pillows (1 overstuffed 1 foam piece) but in hindsight we always take our own, just forgot to. Divine hot showers, stunning bathroom (no door). Basic kitchen with everything you need (pot pan spoon etc), bring all your own food (milk butter tea). Firewood was supplied as well as a single fire lighter, we bought extra to light the fire the next night. Host was friendly. House was spotless clean.

HEAVEN ON EARTH! My husband and I stayed in the greenhouse and it was perfection from start to finish. The hikes you can do in the area are just lovely, with large rock pools you can swim in. Thank you for having us!

What an experience, does not feel like you are in SA when you stay here. Very secluded and beautiful setting. Looking out at the mountains and a little lake the mirrors the sky. Already looking forward to my next stay.

Majestic location,truly a slice of heaven in a unique setting. Jacques and Mara Louise were fantastic hosts looking after us like part of their own family. Five star boutique accommodation in the Hacienda for the weekend. All i can say is WOW!!!
