Zen resturant is just that, a balance of class with undertones of excentric and fine cuisine.They have Grey Goose and a Coffee machine catering to all pallets.This is the Perfect weekend spot to chill with your friends and family and to take your corporate guests out for a spoil!Black and Gold all the way....Zen is Sandton Dining at it's finest!

I went there to celebrate a friend's birthday. It was a Saturday night and there was live DJ.Positives:The place has a stylish and posh interior. Their food menu is small but well crafted. I ordered their Ribs and it was beautifully plated. The onion rings were crispy and the sauce complemented the ribs well.The hookah was well prepped and had highly enjoyable flavours. Coals lasted quite long too.Negatives:Their fries were a bit underwhelming considering the price. One of the bathroom did not have hand soap. The tables were quite low and small to eat from. The menus themselves are pretty worn out and needs to be replaced.Overall, this is an upmarket place that is perfect for a night out or a special occasion. You won't be disappointed with its atmosphere and presentation.

Poor experience. Service was the worst I have experienced in a long time - it took 30 minutes just to get a waiter to take our order. They then proceeded to bring the wrong things or incomplete things multiple times, each time taking 20 minutes just for the waiter to come back.Also, it was probably 30 degrees Celsius inside, and the those who had wine had to add ice to it because it was not kept in a temperature controlled area.Decor is probably the only redeeming feature. Just thinking about the experience is the opposite of zen.

When I called, the gentleman who manages bookings remembered me from my last booking. He asked if I would like him to order in my special drink (I complained about out of stock last time). To top it off he called to confirm if I had arrived as someone was asking for the same drink. I got here ice cold drinks set aside for me. What made it special is that my husband and I were not balling or anything but he still made us feel like what we are asking for was worth him ensuring that we are catered for.Waiters are a bit slow but the bespoke service makes it all worth it.

A group of my friends went there on a Thursday evening when they were hosting an event. It's a stunning restaurant. They make great drinks. But the food and service was a let down. I really commend the manager for the way he handled the situation when our friend sent back her food. I believe he didn't charge us at all for food. Thank you and it is appreciated. My suggestion is to maybe create a smaller simple menu that caters to those types of events. That way food can come out quicker from the kitchen and service may not be so overwhelmed.I look forward to visiting.

I came here with my friend, for his birthday dinner.Everything about this place is beautiful, the look of the restaurant, the music, ambiance, customer service and most importantly the food is really good... I enjoyed my time here. So did my friend.10/10 you must try this restaurant out.

They only have tapas and drinks. The vibe is ok. Music was good and then it wasn't. DJ box is a bit wierd. Guess it depends on the crowd. The place itself is nice looking. The food was better than some places and the wait staff are awesome. Can tell the kitchen understands seafood and flavours. Very small portions that are dressed to look more. They didn't have much variety in terms of shooters and are very pricey. A tot of cordial was R28. Look at spending around R350 per person for starters and a drink.

The overall experience was below average.Cleanliness: there were roaches on our coach made us quite uncomfortable. The corners of the couches don’t seem to be cleaned regularly.Esthetics: Very different from their online visuals. Disappointing. You wouldn’t be able to tell the cuisine type when entering. It looks nothing like the pictures, even if pictures were enhanced.Service: staff was very friendly. Our waitress was lovely but prone to many mistakes.Food: if looking for a culinary experience, this is probably not the ideal place. Plating is not great, nothing like the plating shown on their social media. Had the lamb cutlets and tasted more like a rushed home cooked meal, took 30/35 minutes to arrive which wasn’t too bad but the quality was poor, flavors were average.Drinks: I had the zen garden which I truly amazing! I don’t usually enjoy gin but this made it pleasurable.Cutlery: does not match the esthetic. Choice of wine glasses?… No comment.Probably a different experience night but not great for lunch.
