DoubleTree by Hilton Cape Town - Upper Eastside

Not the best of locations. Not the best of buildings. Book it if you get a deal. Service is fair. Staff are helpful. Loft rooms aren't bad at all. Spacious and has seating options.

I had an incredibly nice stay at this hotel. I had never heard about this hotel before and boy was I pleasantly surprised. The staff are super helpful. The rooms are beautiful and pristinely clean. I had a wonderful time.

Stayed here for 7 days out of my two week vacation in South Africa. The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast time must’ve been my favourite time of day at the hotel since I got to interact more with the staff and experience the hospitality they had to offer. My favourite staff had to be Elna. She remembers her guests very well and makes sure everyone feels welcome and is well served. Kudos to the team. See you on my next vacation in Cape Town.

Stayed here for one night to experience the King Loft suite. It was beautiful and amazing beyond words. The loft had a spacious living room, dining area and bedroom. The breakfast was nice, with an eggs station and then we requested to bring up our food to the room to enjoy. We had a complimentary slice of cake to celebrate our anniversary. Wish that they had a cocktail hour at the bar since we were staying in suites.Parking is R60 for overnight. The area seems a little dodgy at night and there is nothing much to do in the Docklands, so you either have to eat at the hotel restaurant or drive out to find food. Take note of load shedding too, but our room wasn’t really affected. The carpark was also powered with backup generators.

Stayed here for my birthday and the staff was great. The breakfast crew remembered me each day and were above and beyond on my birthday. I wish I had a better view but overall I thought the location worked for our purpose and the staff made my birthday enjoyable

What a nice hotel to stay at. Away from the madness (in a good way) of the city centre yet close enough to be able to enjoy a night out in Cape Town or stroll around during the day.The stay is so great and professional as well. Special thanks to Elna and her friendliness who made our stay even more enjoyable.Hospitality at its best.

The loft rooms are stunning, huge and gave an incredible view of Table Mountain. Great breakfast buffet as well. Loses a few points for the pool which is shared with a condo building and is pretty dire state. Otherwise a fantastic place to stay.

A great place to stay in Cape Town. Lovely staff and good rooms. A bit off the city centre but good location with many shopping centres not too far off. A nice breakfast spread everyorning Their a la carte menu could be better.

Bang average to poor. Dining at the Liberty restaurant was terrible. Dirty stained seats, not cleaned properly. Slow service. Average food. Almost no vegetarian options. They put us in a room overlooking a run down, dirty courtyard with no view. Room was ordinary. Sink was blocked, air conditioning ineffective.Don't bother staying here, there are hundreds of better options for this overpriced pretender of a hotel.
