White Shark Ventures

The service wasn't great, were not responsive. 29 people (including the crew) were packed on a boat best served for half that amount. The water was very foggy (so you couldn't see much at all). We went out, got to dive for about 5 minutes each and then they took us back. With SO many great things to do in Cape Town, DEFINITELY pass on this one.

Don't GO, there are no sharks ! I was in holidays in Cap town, i spend more that 18 hours for nothing. 3 hours to go, 3 hours to stay in a boat waiting for nothing. The crew just say like they were playing theatre So sad guys

Nice dive master, who was very knowledgable about the area and marine life. We saw some sharks during our outing which was great.Our dive was the first of the morning and we got delayed by a bus coming from Cape Town which was a bit annoying. We still got a decent amount of time in the water but not enough for multiple times in the cage. Just once in groups of 5 and it was luck of the draw whether you saw any or multiple white sharks.

The skipper was professional and knowledgeable BUT the other crew members (one in particular) didn't bother trying to get the bait out there to lure sharks. I spent an entire day, and a good bit of money to simply be cold and wet and not see anything while in the cage. Again it was because the crew did not bait adequately. They were more preoccupied with talking to each other, looking at their phones, or shouting over to the other boat...Details:I asked the skipper why the crew member threw the bait in a straight line" and he explained it helped lure sharks towards the cage. It worked for about 10 minutes BUT when a particularly lazy crew member was put in charge of baiting the sharks

Went for the 2pm boat, advised to meet at the dive shop for a briefing at 1pm. Free food, drinks and snacks were available whilst being briefed on the cage dive trip. The Dive Master and crew very very knowledgeable, answering all questions, didnt feel at all rushed or pressured. Had a good briefing on the eco impact of the trip and the much maligned Great White. A 15 min boat ride to the site, gave over 90 mins dive time. For the 10 of us on the boat that meant multiple dives. Got to see 'Bronzies' and a couple of great whites right up close and personal. All wet suits and gear was provided. On return to the dive shop we got a hot meal, drinks and a chance to watch the video of the trip with an opportunity to buy a copy. All in all a very relaxed trip with knowledgeable and friendly crew in a small group. Everything you'd want from a trip to see these apex predators, even better knowing some of your money is channelled back into helping preserve the species, not some fat-cat's wallet. All in all, highly recommended.

I did a lot of research when booking a shark diving experience. This outfit seemed the best so I booked. When I got there, I found out my booked had been passed off to another cheaper company. I easily could have booked directly with the new company for less money from the start! Horribly unprofessional.

If you like water. Go for it.The high waves gave few of us a dizzy feeling most of the time.The boat seems small with so many tourists on board. Instructions on getting under the water to watch the shark were not very encouraging. Swimmers did enjoy this trip but for the rest - it was !!!!!!

Great experience! We were lucky to see sharks very close, as nature is unpredictable and animals are not there waiting for us to arrive. We loved it! thanks

After all morning in the water, we did not get to see a shark within 10 meters (and from the surface of the boat). The company offered us to do the activity another day, probably knowing that all the clients of that day were foreigners and most of us would not have time to do the activity again. In my case, I was leaving the next day to my country, they told me that they would call me to offer me a solution. I'm still waiting for that call ...

The people are Nice, food was decent.6 boats from different companies all seemed to try to attract the two 2-3m sharks who were around this day.Other reviews indicate big ones are around, but sightings of proper sized sharks are all but guaranteed.
