I mean... I don't really know why I ever go anywhere else for outdoor equipment of any kind. Staff are very knowledgeable and stock list is great!

Worst service I’ve ever encountered. Took ages to get assisted, then sales person did NOT want to sell me boots. His attitude was that all the boots were out of my price range, no idea I was spending Euro and budget was 275euro, no suggestions at all. Then when I asked about a certain brand I had done my homework on #JimGreen he made a bunch of excuses as to why NOT to buy them. I will NEVER refer anyone to this shop.

We were on our way to do outdoor research on seabirds in extreme weather conditions on a remote island called Gough for a year. Due to unforseen circumstances I didn't receive a piece of my ESSENTIAL KIT, a rain jacket! I phoned up drifters, who delivered one right at the vessel as we were about to depart! You guys potentially saved my life! Exceptional service from an epic company! Highly recommend!

Very poor after sales service. I bought Salomon Ultra 4 GTX hiking boots on there recommendations. Did 3 hikes. Stitching is coming loose. They did not come back to me! After 3 weeks I phoned them and to find out that I have to repair boots on my own cost. I live in Bloemfontein and could not get the boots to there shop within the year's warranty

Really good gear selection (a lot is premium brand imports, yes), but it's really good stuff and the staff are friendly and knowledgable).It's the only place in CPT where you can get fully kitted for a trip in one store.

Bring used to the service at the JHB shop, I was shocked at how bad it was at this store.The attitude!!!Then once I did get assistance and after a very long process of trying & explaining, I bought supposedly their best boots at a hefty price. Supposed to be the greatest boots they could offer me.I have however, finished my last two hikes, crying like an infant, from the pain and state of my feet. Despite using the best Merino wool socks they could sell me, these LA Sportium, gortex, boots are the worst I’ve used in 43 years of hiking. My feet are broken & in excruciating pain!! After experiencing this on my first hike, I went back to discuss this with the sales lady, and was told basically, tough luck!!!Paying al but 5K, 43 years of hiking experience, and I finish my last two hikes crying!!!!!
