Great little gem overlooking the Magoebaskloof mountains. Rooms are clean, staff friendly and the self-catering kitchen has everything you could need.Venue also includes a swimming pool and playground on the premises to keep kids entertained; as well as a little dam which makes a great picnic spot.Perfect place for a weekend away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Visited with friends who know the area well. What a hidden gem. Great and peaceful accommodation.

We went over a weekend, the weather was cold and wet which is unpredictable. But we had no way of heating the bedroom without electricity. I would suggest that they give the rooms a small gas heater. The chalet was neat and had almost everything you need. Friendly staff and beautiful surroundings

Great place for a stopover on the way to the lowveld and have some fishing time. It was cold and wet but the fish were obliging in keeping me entertained.

Amazing amazing amazing! No other words to describe Cheerio as a whole. The enchanted garden feels other worldly and leaves you wanting more. Excellent trout fishing facilities with well stocked dams. 10/10

Very comfortable. Great setting with dams, forest and plantations. Unit (Paul's Cottage had all the requirements. Staff including Jady and the general workers very friendly. Ideal base to explore the annual spring festival which is scheduled for last week in September

Lovely cottage and a great walk down to the dam. Lovely pool and the self catering has most of what you need. Nice place to take the family I'd say. Close to a lot of.cool spots to see and experience.

Beautiful Cheerios. I was very excited to return here after nine years and was delighted to have the same wonderful experience as before. Jady was endlessly patience with what amounted to three date changes due to Covid. When I asked to move to the cabin we stayed in first time, Jady was instantly accommodating and arranged it swiftly with no fuss.I highly recommend Cheerios for a restful and beautiful getaway. The cabin was spotless, well appointed and very comfortable. Amazing birdlife to see and hear. The surrounding flora is incredible, just sitting listening to the wind in the trees was perfect enough.

A nice getaway, very relaxed and quiet. We stayed in the Rainbow cottage, very nice with a good view from the deck. While the place was nice and clean (4 stars on its own), I got rather annoyed with the lady that runs the place. She made us feel more like a nuicance than paying guests on two occasions.Everything is labeled in great detail with the rules, even silly rules like you are not allowed to plug in movies/games into the TV?One thing that wasn't labeled with rules was the alarm console, which I activated since our cottage is outside of the locked gate, easily accessible to anyone who passes by. We're from Johannesburg where activating the alarm becomes second nature. Even though I put it on the sleep setting, the bedroom sensor immediately picked me up and the siren went off.When we phoned the lady she was audibly annoyed, stating that agh now I'll have to come there". This was just past 8 so not even that late. She turned it off
