I bought a road bike frame from the Pta North branch. While assemblying the bike at home, i noticed that the chain rubs against the frame and thus returned it to the shop and bring the problem to their attention. The salesperson who sold me the frame was friendly and willing to listen and assist but the matter was handed to another person who appeared to be senior. She did not bother to listen attentively to my issue and they concluded that they needed to order a new rear derailleur hanger. I left the bike and a few days later i called to enquire on the progress but she continued with an undesirable tone of voice as though they are doing me a favour. Bearing in mind that when i bought the frame from the Pta North branch they did not have the hanger and had to collect it from the Woodmead branch. The hanger was removed from a frame that appeared used.I decided to go and collect mu bicycle and fortunately brought their mechanic ro understand my issue. The lady did not even bother on the day to come to me and assist. She can do with a bit of respect for customers....

It was bad very bad because they sold me a bicycle on Friday it broke down now

I have done a full service on my 2 mountain bikes at them. It seems that they just clean it and oil it. No part inspection was done. When I fetch the bikes I did a quick inspection and found many problems they had not fix on both bikes. Wasted my time waiting for them to fix it right there. They billed me extra for bleeding of brakes which was not done. Luckily I knew and could point that out as well. So if you are a rooky/newb at Mountain bikes they could possibly do this to you without you knowing.Update:I received a quick and professional response from the owner. Received a full refund on the services done. Thank you. The owner explained his plan of action to improve so I'm sure the standard will get better.

They replaced broken bicycle parts in record time, wasn't expensive and washed the bike! Awesomeness

WARNING: Please don't purchase anything from this business.I bought a brand new bike from the PTA store and it was sent to Cape Town.I was told that I I could assemble it myself and I got a friend of mine (who's an avid cyclist) to assist.After assembling the bike there was friction and the wheel was slightly warped. I was advised to take it to a bike store and a mechanic confirmed this.The bike shop said that it's against practice and dangerous for a customer to be advised to assemble a bike as this its a mechanism and needs professional assembly. He said that if I was to ride the bike that it would have broke and put me at risk of falling.If you read the reviews you'll see that several customers have complained about this same issue.When bringing this up with the sales person, Khalida, I was given a defensive explaination and no accountability was taken. I was then ignored and was sent a voice note from a so called" technician who said they would not pay for the assembling of the bike which costed me R450.Please don't support this business."

Was assisted by a lady with the name of Khalida. Best service ever. Bikes delivered today in Klerksdorp. Did not open to check them but excellent service. Well done. Thanks Khalida

Thoroughly enjoyed my visits and acquisition. Had a tad of a wait for the bikes to be prepped, but very enjoyable.

To be honest that place is heaven for all types of us cyclists, problem is unlike likr the ppace up the road the sales reps,no knowledge about the subject of cycling

Well stocked, very big outlet. Got variety of stock, from entry level to professionals. Cycle wear, shoes, etc. Staff are whelpful. If you ask nicely, you score yourself a discount,but be nice. Technical services and advice, bike services also available. Race number collections and registrations can also be done here for certain cycle races.

I had great service from the moment I took my old bicycle there last week until I collected it today! The service was friendly, professional and I was kept informed on more expenses than initially quoted! Today I was surprised when I paid LESS of what I was expected! And my bicycle looked soooo good I hardly recognized it! A staff member also assisted in fitting it into my car!! I would definitely recommend this place and will go back myself!
