Pilansberg National Park offers game viewing of the Big 5. Experience seeing herds of elephants, giraffe, zebra, hippos, water buck, blue wildebeest, kudu and several other buck. It's best to try and stay in the park for a few days but you can still get to see a lot on the Safari game drives or a self-drive. We like entering via Bakubung gate and usually see a lot at Mankwe Dam and for the birders the the bird hide is a good spot for bird watching. There are good restaurants at both Bakubung and Kwa Maritane.

Pleased with our experience here. We came and were taken around on 2 game drives. Saw a variety of animals and was able to get close to elephants and a pair of Lions. Would recommend hiring a guide. The roads were maintained.

Saw the big 5 twice in a week. The park is very suitable for game drives, as it is not as big as the others. Very good guides as well.

Our stay at Bakabung Timeshare units, Pilansburg. November 2021, for 3 nights with our friends, was a memorable bush experiences. We have been to the Kruger Park and other game reserves the past 49 years and rate the game viewing, accommodation and scenery a 5.BUT the ROADS, what a shame, we rate a ZERO. No road repairs will cause visitors not to return. if you don't watch the road all the time you will end up in deep potholes and dongas with serious damage to your vehicle. To go up the mountain you need a huge strong 4x4.We saw many elephant, rhyno, buffalo, hippos lions, beautiful birds, and lots of other antelope. There were nice picnic areas, but watch out for wasps and evil looking spiders. Our accommodation was wonderful, overlooking the bush and sitting on the stoep of our bungalow watching elefant, kudu, impala, warthogs, waterbuck, hyenas and we even heard the lions roar.See of our photos. Will go again.

The entrance staff were super friendly and efficient. The roads have been slightly affected by the recent rains. Wonderful viewings.
