In the last 2 weeks we have ordered the sweet and sour pork, mixed fried rice, Shanghai steak, chilli chicken, pork fried noodles, chicken dumplings and prawn spring rolls and I have to say every single dish was awesome. I cannot wait to try the next dish. Definitely our new go-to takeaway.

Always fresh and hearty. Huge portions and quality ingredients, I like the veg to meat ratio..... Highly recommended, friendly owners.They even deliver, the owner himself! Shows his dedication.

Had my First takeaway from Gong Lok .. So so good. I found it to be a bit shy on the amount of beef in the chow mein portion. But i will definitely return :).... Great Spring Rolls

Doesn't even deserve that 1 star. Worst restaurant I have been to. Food was absolutely bland,noodles and veggies wasn't cooked, less salt and services was terrible. I was very friendly although they didn't even want to give a cup of water for my 2 year old daughter and they wanted us to buy water yet we sat down to eat, the Lady said that she cannot wash dishes now so we must eat in a container there wasn't any plates for us to even.

Tucked away in the Escombe Spar centre is a gem of a Chinese restaurant/takeaway.The food is insanely delicious!! Try the Shanghai Steak or the pork dumplings!!!! Lovely owners and a great little restaurant seating area.

The food was terrible. Chop Suey was bland and the veggies were very raw. Tasted like more Mezina was used than anything else. Will not go there again. A waste of R150.

Food was average, was given no plates to eat from and no cutlery , the staff told us that to eat in the place is an additional 10% more , and because we initially wanted a takeout and changed our mind to eat in , and they did not charge us 10% so we don't get any plates or cutlery. Disappointed in the service we received.

Veg springrolls, chicken Chow Mein and sweet and sour pork are the bomb.

It has been more than two years since gong lok restaurant has been relocated. Thanks to all customers and friends for their support and presence, and thanks to new and old friends for their valuable opinions and suggestions. We will work harder to make every healthy and nutritious food to give back to our customers and friends. them.

We went there tonight and recieved very unprofessional, unwelcoming, totally pathetic service. The lady that assisted us mixed up our order then instead of apologizing she said I dont want to talk will just refund you. The food wasnt done well and we asked if she could do the prawns and veg a bit more on the pan and she said she doesn't think so then we told her we want it done a bit more and she said no, after requesting numerous times she finally did it. We asked for some sauce and she said we had to buy it for R12 and we said that its fine, we want sweet and sour. After paying for the sauce, she did not give us sweet and sour sauce but rather tomatoe sauce when we asked about it then she said she doesn't want to talk about it and she will just refund us. While we were earing she said she is ging to close and we then she told us that she doesnt like this and we shouldn't come back and we told her that we didn't like the service and will never be coming back. The food and service was pathetic, especially the service though. There are so many amazing similar resturants so rather try those than have a really bad experience like this.
