Avoid DialdirectPremiums increase every year even though the value of the vehicle decreasesBe aware they don't pay out the insured value of your vehicle but only the so called market value which is much lowerCanceled with them and certainly not going back ever!

I have had numerous attempts to cancel my Home contents insurance with Dial Direct... When told to hold, press ?, or that?...service is halted immediately by been cut - off, & a Consultant never gets back to attend the caller if & when on hold.. I then reverted too an EMail explaining my intent cancelation of my Policy & am told, that Cancelations are ONLY via a Telephone call to the Customer Service Help Desk & this is when the problem commences. Holding for >5' at a time, eventually depletes all data call time on ones Cell Phone. Also discovered later after numerous attempts to explain my intent too CANCEL the Policy, my call is cut & so the process is repeated to have a consultatant address my Call. I now intend to personally visit their Main Offices here in Cape Town. A very Sad scenario coming from an Insurance Company who relies solely on its public members for growth & long term stability.

Spam direct marketing calls multiple times even though I have never opted in. They must be getting contact numbers in a dodgy way as I never opt into anything and I have never delt with them before. Not cool!

They pushed my household contents insurance up by over 120 percent yet during the lockdown most people have been working from home. When i called they said best they do was 100 percent. Absolute disgraceful. I canceled immediately. PLEASE AVOID THIS SHAMELESS SCAMMING INSURANCE FRONT COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!I spoke to your policy review section and they cud only offer me a 100percent increase RM so its inconsequential. I am in the process of informing other hard working citizens too steer clear of your company.

Insurer sent out their plumber. I had to pay R420 for the parts, which I agreed to. When plumber tried to install the part - they caused >R20,000 in damages (amount confirmed by assessor). It also came to light the plumber didn't actually install the new part I was charged for.Been fighting with Dial Direct for 3 weeks, and still unresolved. Now Dial Direct are saying I need to potentially cover half (R10k) of the damages that their contractor caused, on a job which should have cost me R420.No hot water,, further damage caused, geyser system still not fixed, no feedback / replies, only endless follow-up calls from me to by try get some info from the people I thought would look after us.Very disappointed. My family and I have been treated very badly, and Dial Direct are now screening my calls. We have been loyal customers since 2017, and this is how we are treated.Then Dial Direct comes back, asking for my Policy Number, and after 3 weeks say they will look into it?

DON'T JOIN DIALDIRECT INSURANCEEvery year since I've been a member of Dialdirect, they push my premium up SUBSTANTIALLY - this year was the worst, when they added +-R120 to my premium (this is a 25% increase).I've been trying to get them to return my e-mails about this, but no one has responded. They seem to be happy to loot" from good South African citizens such as myself - the only difference between them and the looters we saw on a large scale in KZN & JHB last week

It is a pity they sell their clients information to scammers and spammers. I've tested by given only them my second number, not even a day and the calls flood my phone. Car tracking companies, debt consolidation etc.

Got a huge increase on my premium ony cars that are another year older. Was not notified until I requested a new policy schedule. This is disgusting. How can you justify a R600 increase on vehicles that are now 1 year older? Would not recommend at all. Absolutely disgraceful

Pathetic customer service. Claimed for a vehicle accident. My vehicle has been with the repairer for nearly 5months already. Called because they told me my car is done, it's in worse condition than what it was before the collision. And now they want to charge me nearly R300 more to push the cover back up to full comprehensive. I have contacted the call centre, and I have spoken to the assessors to escalate. Nothing gets done
