Send all my vehicles there, he is also available on the phone or WhatsApp at the drop of a hat and always has great advice.He does general services and repair but specializes in CV jointsThe best thing about his workshop is the little jack Russell that follows him everywhere.

Took two vehicles to this workshop both for suspension repairs:First vehicle returned with a shock nut loose, shock moving in mounting damaged shock shaft threads and mounting. Notified owner and brought car back. Mechanic tried to fix it, only put a washer and tightened; resultant damage is still there on the car.Second vehicle (C-Class Merc): I supplied all parts for new shocks and control arms. Car returned with nuts not tightened enough. Lower control arm nuts only at +-80Nm. Ball joints of control arm and tie rod ends ranged from 15Nm to 55Nm. I had to check all the work and tighten.No sign of any thread locker used.Break sensor loose, hanging off caliper.Notified owner of my dissatisfaction.

I recently had the displeasure of visiting this motor mechanic company (The CV Joint on Great North Rd) and it was a comedy of errors. The receptionist was so uninterested in her job that I'm pretty sure she was half-asleep. The owner was no better, barely helpful, and seemed more interested in making snarky comments than assisting me. To add insult to injury, they charged me an arm and a leg for a job that took them a mere 5 minutes, even though I had supplied them with the necessary part I came to replace the old part with.However, there was a bright spot in my visit. The lone worker who actually did the job was very helpful and knowledgeable. Thank you kind sir for your help and good attitude!Overall, I would not recommend this company unless you enjoy feeling ripped off and dealing with unfriendly staff. But, if you do decide to give them a chance, make sure to ask for the one competent worker they have on staff

Went for a quote for service/repair of CV joint on the right rear of my vehicle. Was told that it would take about 4 hours at R750/hour= R3000.00. This was excluding any parts that may need replacement.When I questioned the cost, I was then told it will actually take 8 hours to do the work, and I would only be billed for 4 hours. Furthermore, the workshop was not neat, and organized as you would expect from a professional workshop.I got quotations from a few other places, and eventually paid Total cost of R1029.00 Vat Inclusive, which included replacement of 2 x boots. The workshop which did the repair was very well organized and very professional. Actual time to service and repair was about 2 hours. Costs were very fair and they did not try to rip me off.
