I’d like to thank Dr S.S.S Mkwanazi for the assistance with my mother. The cherry on top was the great customer service from Cheron James at admissions. To the both of them. When one has a sick parent having a friendly face assist you makes the world of difference. Please continue to help others with the same way.

Pathologists and X-ray department were efficient and professional. However:I'm changing my review because of the general unhelpfulness of the staff as relates to my grandmother's admission to the hospital. She has been kept an extra day simply because they failed to do a CT scan on the days she was there. What could have been a single night stay has turned into a three night stay.I thought two nights was already excessive for a simple g-scope and CT scan, but I accepted it as I understood that hospitals do have tight schedules. Extending it longer is just blatantly taking advantage to fit in other patients (and while I know there are emergency cases), I am skeptical as to this being the whole case the entirety of the time. She's 88 years old...

You get no feedback from anyone explaining to you how long you must wait or even why you must wait. Not the sisters or the nurses. I had to phone the Dr's Rooms to ask whether I am on the Theatre List as they still have to phone which was at 08h30 and when will my operation take place.

This is by far the worst hospital Ive ever been to. My husband has been there since Tuesday evening and there's almost no improvement. You never see the doctors and when you see them they dont give enough clarity about the situation and what they can do to help him get better. One person tells you his going to get a high dose of antibiotics thats why he's being moved to ICU then the next one tells you he's not getting antibiotics. We've been to a few Mpumalanga hospitals before and never had this bad experience.

We waited for over an hour at Radiology without any communication as to how long the wait should be. The reception ladies were very friendly but their expectation management should be improved to increase overall mood of all the patients waiting. You guys see hundreds of patients weekly - work out an average waiting time and communicate that to the waiting patients. The overall inefficiency of this hospital will make that I never come here again.

I’m alive today bcoz of the hard work from Netcare the Bay hospital doctors, In my length of stay I was attended to by 09 doctors but the number might be more. I’m not sure how many other MO participated in my numerous rescusitations and my critical state in ICU. The nursing care and allied health care rehabilitation that I received by excellent. I only had bad experience with 01 nurse while I was still in ICU. But overall I give you 5 stars.

My 83 year old uncle is currently laying in Bay hospital and takes them an hour to refill his medicine drip.The service is really pathetic, they didn't even put the catheter in properly so he had to lay in a wet bed.Would not recommend! They don't care about their patients or they're understaffed and it cost a fortune to be there.

The bay hospital (Casualty) what a poor service from one of the nurses that assisted my daughter. The attitude she had was unbearable. I swear I felt like I was in a Government hospital, however Dr Gumede who was in charge was professional. Can we have a rating form where we will be able to rates the Nurses service.

Totally disgusted with the service we received today. I sincerely hope Netcare pull there socks up as they are almost like a goverment hospital and their staff havearrogance than goverment hospital'sIn an emergency I will give them a pass and move on to their competitors

Surely if the lift in your Day Ward building has a fault you put up a sign I was on my way to the 10th floor when I got stuck in pitch darkness for over 10 minutes. Eventually the lights came on and the lift proceeded. Only to be told by the guard it's a regular occurrence because of load shedding. Whilst that may be the case surely a sign to warn people especially people who may have heart problems or anxiety. Then you can't even walk half the stairs because the doors are locked. Absolutely shocking. What if something had gone wrong and someone had been hurt or stuck in the lift. Poor service.
