Had some motor work done. Work was done in good time and to spec I required. Very happy with the work and it was the best price i could find after shopping around. Will use SMA from now on.

Few years ago this guy's were good at what they do, but now the services they deliver are very poor, I took my engine that was smoking to them. They overcharged me, they couldn't even set engine timing and oil was leaking On the engine & they lost some parts of the engine and after paying them a fortune they didn't even give me a warranty for fixing the engineI will never advice anyone to do business with them after what I experienced with this guy's

I have being sending both my vehicle's BMW X5 and 3 series for many years and still do to Manish at Tshwane crankshaft. Manish and team have overcome quite tricky problems and have saved me thousands of Rands. Just had my X5 2016 F15 sorted by Tswane crankshaft. Moves like a dream. Thank you guys. Tshwane Crankshaft and Camshaft Center previously operated as SMA Motor Engineering and one of the members of the CC under which SMA functioned was Menesh Singh. However, in 2019 the name of the business was changed and it was relocated to 598 Soutter Street, Pta-West.From that perspective it should be noted that the engineering work done by Menesh Singh at SMA Motor Engineering, was horrific. I had to replace the engine of my Mazda 6 due to the reconditioning done by this so-called motor engineer. The work done by SMA was so bad the engine was found to be irreparable. There was no interest or reimbursement from Messrs Pillay and Singh and I had to approach the Pretoria Magistrate's Court. Judgment was awarded against SMA, Case No 33032/2019 and I now have to take the matter forward. Spare yourself all this trouble and effort and be very vigilant when dealing with Menesh Singh or SMA Motor Engineering, now trading as Tshwane Crankshaft and Camshaft Center.An assessment of the engine and the work done by SMA demonstrated poor workmanship on the sleeves with damage to the pistons and a cracked engine block. Certain parts were not replaced but invoiced for. The pickup in the oil sump was also broken off half-way. Proof of all these major defects and bad servicing of the engine resulted in me having to choose between extensive repair work or to purchase a replacement engine. It came at a substantial expense and was totally uncalled for. No explanations or excuses from these people can warrant this behavior. It was totally unprofessional and I will not recommend this workshop to anyone.

Probably the best engineering motor company in SA. This guy is amazing at his job and nothing, I mean nothing is beyond is technical skills and know-how.Very impressed with the work done on my vehicles after many years of tears and frustration with my cars at merc agents and Kia agents.

SMA provided me with excellent service and is highly recommended. The staff and management were professional and informative throughout. The workmanship included a large degree of precision whist still remaining affordable.
