Absolutely stunning lodge with views unrivaled in the area. Lindy and her staff go above and beyond to make their guests feel welcome, nothing is too much trouble. Highly recommend if you are looking for a warm welcome in a magnificent setting

We had an delightful experience when we went out for tiger fishing, as well as spectacular views and mouth watering food that will have you returning in no time.

We stopped at Shayamoya on our way to Kosi Bay. We received a very warm welcome. Dinner was very tasty in a friendly atmosphere. The owners and staff were always friendly and helpful. Very pleasant experience

Starting from the parking lot you are met by a wonderful garden of really interesting plants (primarily aloes and succulents). Walking down the path to reception, the see some of the top class facilities, including the pool and fire pit. When you then get to the common area (bar, restaurant and lounge), you are greeted by a view like no other. You can see why Shayamoya was built there when you take in that view.The rooms are great with their own angle on that view and outside showers (bath inside if you prefer), fridge, closet and other useful items are available in the rooms. Often you will spot some antelope in the bush just below the room.Staff are friendly and attentive although service can be a little slow sometimes (relax and focus on the view). The food is well prepared and tasty with some great options available.This is a special.place and well worth a visit. You can go for a meal only, but I would highly recommend staying at least one night to really appreciate the place.

Absolutely loved our stay at Shayamoya. Staff are excellent, accommodating and friendly. Special thanks to Maxwell the ranger who gave us professional, knowledgeable and an excellent experience on the water and through the veld. Accommodation is clean, neat and has a real bush feel, the view from the rooms are breath taking. Food is delicious, good portions and staff are very accommodating as well as it being super affordable. Definitely recommend them

What an experience!! I absolutely love this place, they offer excellent service and have the most amazing staff. They have absolutely breath-taking views, their food is to die for.This place is perfect if you want a full bush experience and to switch off from the busyness of city life. Lucky was absolutely amazing and Bongi was so lovely and so attentive.Definately top tier service from everyone.
