Especially For You Cakes

If I could rate this place lower zero I certainly would. This based solely on the lack of professionalism, communication and customer service. I ordered a cake a week in advance with the writing I'd like and the day before pickup I was asked if I'm sure if I wanted Young. Gifted & Black under the banner of spatial concerns. I expressed that font could changed to accomodate the writing, and on the day of pickup I was charged extra. Charges that were not communicated the day before or the week before when the actual order was made. The order was cancelled (by the lady even after I expressed my willingness to collect) when I asked about why these charged were not communicated in advance. This was pathetic and shocking especially given the climate.

I was let down by this place twice.First I placed an order a week inadvance for a retirement party at work. On the day of the party I went to collect the cake and they hadnt made it. I was not given any alternative, just simply a refund. That left me buying a cake in the store and rushing back to work being embarrassed and the employee that was retiring didnt feel special. The cake I ordered was unique and qas supposed to be special.I ended up trying to give the store another chance and ordered 12 cupcakes for a gender reveal party and yet again, they failed to make my order. I asked that they make it and have it delivered to the gathering (seeing that my order was not ready on the specified time) but they refused and again offered a refund.How pathetic. No sympathy or even an apology. Yet alone something to try and make up for their mistake.I will never order from this place again.Bewarned. For special occassions this place can let you down and not even aplogise for it and just think a refund can cut it.Since my complain on google. I got exactly what was expected. Absolutely nothing. Claiming an apology was made? Who did this apology l, because i definitely didnt hear it.And i asked that the cupcakes be ready at 10h00. I only arrived at the store at 10 30. Here is some business advice: should your driver be late , please ensure that your customers are told to prevent them from driving up and down and being expected to.And I am not sure who is relaying these messages that you are claiming. No one told me to wait for the cup cakes and no one told me the retirment cake would be ready in the next hour. Maybe ypu should go to the store because i certainly didnt see you once or even hear from you.But regardless the end result was that you officially ruined 2 beautiful occasions. Thank you for not making the cake on time and for not doing anything about your mistakes. It definitely proves why people should not go there.Thank you again for your reply. It was not helpful. Just like the service in the store.Regards

We recently ordered our 4 tier wedding cake. The design was perfect, the cake was delicious and delivered on time and the arrangements were simple, communication was great. Thank you. I would highly recommended them to anyone looking for a special cake for any function

This was the third time I went to the cake shop to oder and all three times I was unhappyFirsly I order cupcakes from a picture 20 of them when I go to pick them up they do not look like the photo they have no sprinkles like the photo and they did not come in the cupcake papers as in photo when I asked why they do not look the same she said the paper cups on the photo are R12 ekstra per cupcake and she does not know why there is no sprinkles on I then Saif they are selling fake products what you see is not what you get. Taste was very dry. I then oder a R800 cake and I ask her what on this photo will not be on my cake or is not what it seems no she says everything is exactly as in the photo .When I got cake it looked good then when we start cutting all the balls on the cake are fake pollistyrine not real cake and this was not told to me especially not for the price cake taste very afrage will never buy the there againplainly because they are not being honest and the taste is not worth the priceS

My go to baker. Orders are always done professionally and once a cake was baked smaller than what I paid for and I got a free cake for the inconvenience and the overpaid amount refunded... absolutely love the customer service

It really has a lovely smell when you enter and their cakes are delicious I genuinely enjoyed it.

Definitely worth ordering Especially For You Cakes, we sent a picture of what we wanted from Pinterest as recommended by the staff and the result was outstanding. 3 day’s turnaround including weekends is also very quick, it was ready on the day of my sons birthday. Micky is an expert in her craft.

Wow! I didn't really know what I wanted. Micky just said Google usually gives a variety with all associated" and I immediately knew that I was in capable hands. Far exceeded my expectations. My new go to party shop all in one...a rare find"
