Gym Company

Note this review is based only on my initial impression of the gym it it not based on actually attending the gym. Overall look and feel very nice love the colours however many of the display cases are empty despite the gym being open for 8 months so looks half set up. The receptionist at the spa sat looking at videos on her phone did not even look up to say hello spa also seems half decorated which is a shame because it's a beautiful space. Machines all looked new and in good condition gym was not too crowded. The aerobics area did smell a bit even though there was no ongoing class. Access and tags seem to be a issue and the main gate receptionist was also not very customer friendly. Our tour guide Prince was amazing though very well informed and friendly.

Very nice gym with very reasonable monthly rates. Excellent spinning and aerobics classes. Check out the virtual trip classes in the spinning studio. Modern, clean bathrooms. And a spa for some TLC.

Jakaranda Centre gym company..it's like taking out a cellphone contract... then struggling for after service...been trying since Feb telephonically to get the correct e-mail address to no avail. E- mail after e-mail gets a non delivery status! The only thing I love are the instructors that offer body pump/ core classes...they make it worthwhile. Attitude of spa manager stinks

Spa is fully booked al the time when you can attend after or before work. Equipment is going out of order one by one and not being fixed. Parking inside and outside is full each time I want to go gym. And then the gym is packed you have to wait for equipment to be available that is still in working order

I am writing to complain about the poor service, particularly the reception. The staff needs to get themselves educated in customer management and friendly service. The unacceptable response received at reception. Told me to go to another gym if I'm not happy" because I did not want to pay for the tag at that moment. The salesperson informed me on the day of registration that the tag will be loaded on my account. On sign-up I didn't receive my tag because the system was offline. On my first day in the gym

My experience with this Gym is DO NOT SIGN UP!! The people who work there are very rude. The only person who treats you with respect and is friendly with you is the salesperson who sells the membership to you. The person who meets you on your first day to show you around the equipment does not listen to what you want and just takes you on what she decides. Then when life happens and you need to cancel, the reason why you only took a month-to-month contract, you have to go through a very bullying meeting with the manager and she decides then if it is alright with her that you cancel but you should know that you still have to pay three months more after canceling your membership even though you only took a month to month contract. I canceled in February so I still had to pay for three months which would have been for March, April, and May. But in June when my bank account was debited again I reversed the payment because I made my extra 3 months payment so I am finished according to their contract. Two weeks went by and they phoned me and threatened me that I had to pay my outstanding account. When I told them that I canceled my membership in February they weren't even aware that I canceled. So I do not understand why I had to go into their offices to cancel if they did not cancel my membership when I went there and did everything as they asked me to do. They phoned again and said that I should please email this cancelation application through because they cannot find it anywhere. I emailed everything through. This company is very rude and unprofessional. I will not sign up for any Gym Company because of this one in Jacaranda because if this one can be run the way it is run then all of the Gym Company franchises are run in this way. A company that is run by incompetent people who do not know how to do their jobs.

Many promises, zero delivery, be very careful when joining the Gym Company, the sales representatives are very dishonest, they tell you only what you want to hear, after you sign up then it's a no care attitude. Stay far away if you have goals to achieve, you wont be able to achieve it with Gym Company, you pay to watch other people work out. Equipment doesn't get maintained yet you pay maintenance fees, Gym is insanely crowded, if you go on days that is more quiet then leave your kids outside, if the creche is closed the too bad pal, well that's the attitude you get from the arrogant management team. The month to month system is a scam (please read the contract carefully) the sales team lies to get you to sign up then that's it. If you tell them you will go see someone about the unfair ethics then they reply okay"Final thought

Always problems with electricity and water. Gym company Jakaranda would be fantastic... if management actually cared. Very disappointing.

Highly disappointed in the service of this Gym .....Canceled my contract in April PAYED my Cancelation fee , no debit order went off in May , get a phone call 1ste of June saying I owe them money telling the lady but I Canceled and paid the fee and signed the paper she must call Jacaranda to sort it out ....2nd of June woke up to R350 taking out of my account.....went in to the Gym the 2nd to sort it out NO ONE is helpful, tried phoning the manager NO response.....You guys just take Money out of people's accounts!!!!!
