A hidden gem on the R40 , well sign posted almost opposite Tshukudu Private Game Lodge. Family friendly. Staff very friendly. Great portions of food. Not expensive. Nice menu to choose. No rush so go to relax and enjoy the daily afternoon visit of the donkey to the pub. Horses may pop their heads in for a scratch. Owner very chatty. Home to Hoedspruit Parkrun. Certainly go back there.

The donkeys inside the bar were my favourite part of this experience. Chilling there like they own the place. We had a fantastic server and the food was cooked to our liking.

A nice hidden watering hole" in the hoedspruit bush...the menu boasts some south african portugese inspired dishes..all prepared well and tasty.The service was good and the food was delicious."

Nice bush pub close to Hoedspruit. Very friendly staff and the food is also good. Enough activity for kids to keep them busy while you can enjoy your drinks and food.

We love visiting The Thirsty Giraffe when we are in Hoedspruit.The place has a very welcoming atmosphere with incredibly friendly staff and great food! The best Steak in Town!!!Escobar the bird is pretty cool too! Even the Birds are Thirsty at the Thirsty Giraffe!
