The Showroom Theatre

A simply marvellous example of art deco design and architecture. Lovingly maintained/restored and a highlight and prize of the town, Prince Albert.

What a treat! Thank you to the owners for creating this beautiful and charming venue. We saw Coenie de Villiers there and it was breathtaking.

Beautiful small theatre with lovely atmosphere and ambience!

Great asset to a great Karoo town. Many cities will be proud to have such a theatre as a local amenity. Regular shows by traveling musicians and actors is s real bonus.

Such an intimate theatre with excellent facilities: sound, lighting, seating, beautiful foyer with bar & chandeliers! Don't deny yourself an outing to this superb venue.

The big surprise when driving to Prince Albert is coming across The Showroom Theatre. The theatre architecture brings a feeling of nostalgia and the decor is fitting. One would think of traveling back in time when entering this space.

Beautiful venue in the picturesque town of Prince Albert. This venue has a vibrant range of shows and attractions to offer year round. They have an active website to inform you of all the shows and activities available for booking. I found booking easy (even from another province) and I was able to speak to a friendly member of staff to arrange my tickets.Picking up my tickets was not as seemless as the booking process, but they were ready and waiting for me.The look of the venue was sublime and my guests enjoyed the show very much.A word of caution...do not expect stellar or quick service at the bar during intermission or after the event (even if you tip well). At first I suspected that they were just very busy during the intermission. When I could still not get friendly and prompt service after the event, I felt embarrassed on their behalf. Thankfully I was able to invite my entourage for drinks at the nearby Gin Bar instead. This saved the evening and kept the mood boyant. Such a beautiful art deco setting. Such an intimate space. Wonderful pubs can be found nearby.
