I tried opening a student account, but the systems are so slow and unforetunately I ended up with someone that was newly appointed. Usually an account takes minutes to open, but here I am waiting for more than a half an hour.

Its very good condition and busy yes but u get help very fast and good service also

Staff lack security training. When withdrawing large amounts they are not discreet that everyone around you can hear. Then they don’t have the amount and ask you to come back at a specific time. Putting their clients at risk

If I could give negative stars, I would. The Hyde Park branch is pathetic. The most unfriendly staff who lack of basic customer service.We do banking almost everyday and on several occasions lately, the staff tell us to come back another time as they are busy doing something else or don't have change. I would change banks if I could, but this is for the company I work at. Hate this place! Pity STD bank closed down in Hyde Park

Since the only helpful teller ,sandile, was on leave the branch became a total nightmare.Front desk lady was nothing but miserably rude.No teller was around to withdrawal.Terrible smell lingering but that was probably their attitude.Never again

2 months to respond to a credit card replacement. Was 1 st sent to Sandton and now has taken 2 weeks to get to Hyde Park and no one has let me know its there. Plus on the website it lists hours of business as “ Open 9am on Monday “ABSAfees are horrendous as are fictitious fees thrown into the mixThis card and account will be closed

Experience is a nightmare with ABSA.1st the deducted R15000 of my account as a stop order?2nd when i report it to the fraud department nobody is available or able to help me.3rd when i go into the branck yo see the manager Sindi she struggles to read a bank statement4th after i had to make lians to pay my accounts ABSA rules my fraud complain as resolved without resolving anything.5th ive been asking for a month now for my apparent signed stop order and they can obviously not provide it5th without proof that i gave yhem permission to deduct R15000 from my account they STILL dont feel like dealing with my complained and still rule my case as resolved?ITS AN ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE THINKING ALL MY PERSONAL STUFF IS WITH ABSA.PROVIDE ME WITH PROOF THAT I GAVE YOU PERMISSION TO TAKE R15000 OUT OF MY ACCOUNT OR PUT MY MONEY BACK SO THAT I CAN MOVE
