Perfect for what we needed. Fairly basic, but clean, safe, and comfortable accommodation at a venue with a rich and interesting history. Fantastic service from the whole team made our stay even better. Highly recommended. I will most definitely be back.

What a fantastic place to be if need to reconnect to your spirit go visit the place. A lot of history yet to be descover so maybe you are the one that found your light in the end of the tunnel it is truely the soul of harties

Great service from owner, however not not what I expected. There's a difference between luxury and comfortable. Noisier than expected. Woke up to the trailer business next door and road noise inbetween the birdsounds. Animals not near as advised, only rabits. No kitchen, only open space in front of tent, no microwave. Very dark St night Dam is green. Overall verrrrry expensive, and Not as romantic as It hoped it to be. Basically a piece of land with a beautifully sunset. However it should make a nice venue.

On the 7th August, me and my friends spent a night at Harties is Africa. That was our worst weekend away ever. The place is like an old boarding school. The service sucks. We were made to sleep in rooms that do not have any ablution facilities. The plugs in our room were not not working, the water was cold, and we were made to take a bath in that cold water because we had to leave the place before 10h00 otherwise there would be a fine. Basically all I'm saying is I'll never go there or recommend the place to anyone.

We were pleasantly surprised at how amazing this gem of a place is. Well run, very accommodating staff, beautiful game park and well-equipped accommodation. Its also not too far from main attractions, but far enough to feel secluded from the hustle and bustle of the busyness of Harties during peak times. The new honeymoon suite is our next stay. ;-)

Location was gorgeous. Bed was extremely comfy. Staff were super friendly. Hannekie is such a kind and lovely hostess who helped make my boyfriends and I's 2 year anniversary super special! Jack was always around, so when an issue occurred with our sink, he was easy to find and quick to solve the problem.

Harties Is Africa Safari Lodge
My partner and I chose this place for our first trip together. It was amazing. The service was phenomenal, the place was bigger than expected, and we did a short hike in the evening and were met with various wild animals. The location was also great as we were able to admire the stars at night. They have a kitchen so you can cook or braai/bbq. We added extras like breakfast and a romantic room setup which did not disappoint. It's great for people who want various levels of camping experience as there are lodges and tents provided.
