Ama Casa Cottages

Peaceful and private enough.Cottage we had was fully stocked with everything you need.Great views. We chose to just relax, but here are a lot of activities in the area. The host give you all the information.

Really beautiful and serene . My afternoon run was bliss, I enjoyed the jacuzzi, the kitchen stove didn't work but the kitchen was fully stocked with utensils. Lots of spiders but they didn't bite.Initially a 3 star review, I moved down to a 1 star based on the owners reply. If I read other reviews, other non whites have had a similar unwelcomed experience at the cottage. We certainly made sure the wall switch was on, the plates did not work. When we arrived, the owners demeanor was not one that made us feel we could go to her to ask questions. Ingact, we were put of going to a pool she said we could use as we couldnt find it and didnt want to ask her for directions.During loadshedding, we used the chargable lights provided for a short time however because these attract insects, we couldn't keep them on. During that period, a bat flew into the cottage and that was quite an experience. Definitly carry peaceful sleep with you. The owner also mentioned that she does not want large groups at the cottages, we were a group of 4 in a 6 sleeper. There were monkeys that were trying to break in so despite having beautiful big windows, we kept them closed.

Amazing accommodation, amazing view.Ama Casa Cottages are perfect for a Drakensberg escape. Close to so many amenities but also secluded enough if you're looking for some time away to be in the beautiful nature that surrounds you there.

We really enjoyed our stay there. The cottage itself is very spacious and has ha great view of the mountain. We enjoyed relaxing in the jacuzzi, I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn't for the braai facilities that were below standard.

The stay here was excellent. The house was large and equipped with all amenities. The hot tub overlooking the mountains and the sounds of the monkeys was amazing. The house was large but had a cozy interior and from all rooms you looked out on the beautiful surroundings. You can do various fun activities in the area. We have made a very nice walk in the mountains. The owners were nice and helpful. Overall a great place to stay.

Definitely a hidden gem in the Central Drakensberg region! Thank you Les and Dave for having us, you made our last days of our journey just perfect! The cottages face directly the mountains and are very well maintained and equipped. We didn’t miss a thing, even during loadshedding!!! The garden is beautiful! The map Les provided for us contained all activities and information one could need which was very helpful when planning our stay:-)
