Defy Authorised Service Centre Roodepoort

Roodepoort branch disgusting attitude .. rather use the Midrand branch .. Midrand staff alot more helpful and friendly.Less than zero.. they cannot give rough estimates regarding fixing defy gas oven.. want to charge over R500 before they even look at it. I can understand the cost if it was a callout.. but I brought it to them. I asked Nikita at the front desk what worst case scenario would be for fixing .. she said she could not help as she had no clue.. only a technician would know .. she didn't even bother trying to find out.I called their Midrand branch .. they were the complete opposite.. very helpful over the phone .. they gave me the approximate costs and even told me what the problem would most likely be.

I called the morning the 22nd March 2023, at about 8h15, a lady answered, I could not get info from her, it was a total run around, she requested that I come to their premises, I told her I am not going to waste fuel driving all that way, all I wanted was a price for an element for the model of the stove I gave her and to see if she had stock, she said she will call back, it is now 14h53 and I am still waiting

I have been trying to get hold of this place all day, their phones do not work, and I managed to get hold of the owner's number, but he also doesn't answer his phone.

Their communication is very poor. I had to contact them a week after leaving my appliance with them to ask what is going on. It took them a further 2 weeks to call me with a quote. When I left the product with them, they never notified me of the hidden costs. Next thing when I'm fetching it, I was bombarded with these fees I was never told about. Their work is good, but the service is very poor.

Very helpful, got the parts I needed straight away and the process was easy. I am quite pleasantly surprised. The people were all very friendly and professional.

I contacted the service centre for my mum's oven to be repaired a few weeks ago. Their contact centre was great, got a detailed estimate of price. Technician came very friendly and competent. He did a great job but couldn't test the oven due to loadshedding, hahaha. He left his cell number said if it's not fine we should contact him. The oven works well and their prices are very reasonable. I gave a four star as they did not communicate delays properly, we expected them at 9am but they came at 5pm. There is room for improvement as far as communication goes but they're great at what they do.

The service received from this place is disgusting to say the least. I have been battling for 4 months after accepting their quote to come and fix my appliances and I am being taken from pillar to post. my suspicion is the technician pocketed the call out fee as I do not understand what the issue is. I think Defy should take our their license from these people as they are letting their brand down.

Phoned 3 times, get promises to phone me back or they too busy too assist.Extremely poor customer service
