What a nice hike the route nicely mark . The art on rocks are very faint. This is a good family hike and nice to take a break at nbr 3 and enjoying the natural views.

This is a great rock art walk, with 9 locations along the Brandewyn River. It is About 5km total distance, and took us 4h to do going slowly and taking time to investigate the amazing rock art. Tickes can be bought at the shop at Travelers Rest.

Truly amazing. A nice walk through the rocky, arid terrain too. Booklet was informative.

Friendly people, beautiful and interesting walk to the rock art. Fairly priced. Trail was sometimes a little bit difficult to follow but generally easy enough to stay on the right path. Would recommend if you’re in the area and interested in the rich history of the Cederberg and the people that once lived there!

It was a very memorable adventure. We enjoyed the beautiful rock formations, the walk and picturesque scenery and learning more about the habitual whereabouts of the people who produced the art. I am disappointed and did not appreciate having received no pamphlet/map after our exact cash payment for the permits for two. The tall gentleman" who received the payment simply indicated that we may go ahead in line with the explanation he gave using a map which remained at the shop. He also provided no proof of payment. This was dishonest to say the least and left a bitter taste in retrospect. Upon reading the reviews it became evident that the pamphlet/s were deliberately withheld for presumed financial gain. Please be aware of this when you visit."

Highly recommended, take your time and loose yourself in an ancient world where /Xam lived in Eden.

Beautiful, not very strenuous hike over rocks and through bush. The rock art sites are clearly indicated and a pamphlet of what to expect is provided so that you can take yourself on a tour.Very special to see these remarkable pieces of history and how well preserved some of them are.Be warned, do this hike early in the morning during summer before the heat starts to pick up. There are rock pools to cool down in but it is not uncommon to get to temperatures of 41°C during the peak of the day.

Gorgeous! Beautiful! Amazing! Cannot wait to go back and do the other half. So two things 1) don’t do it in the heat of the day like we did it’s not fun 2) the white foot markings to follow are actually not as easy to spot as you think so pay attention

Magnificent walk, beautiful San paintings, the best rock pool to swim in and cool off halfway on the trail. Definitely worth the visit. The host and staff at the farm stall/restaurant were very friendly and helpful. Went out of their way to make us feel at home, and the food was deliscrumptuous :-) thank you for an unforgettable experience!Would definitely do the hike again (5km in total, 2-3 hours, relatively easy terrain suitable for all fitness levels).

A short hike to see some spectacular art work of the indigenous people of the area. History indeed. The landscape and scenery, what a site, so beautiful.
