Fat Cake City

The food was not nice at all...fish coating was wet inside ...the 2 crunchy burgers that are supposed to be chicken tasted weird.

Really disappointed with Northwold branch staff.I called to enquire on steak rolls which were not on the Mr D app.I was informed it was possible to get one provided what I ordered on the app was equivalent to steak roll option I wanted and that I stated the ref in the notes section..I did as per instructions and even called them to acknowledge receipt of my order of which they did acknowledge..Only to get the delivery with the wrong order all together.I called them and was told manager refused..of which I felt they could have communicated and give me a choice of having my own sauces rather for them to just do what they felt.Why are the steak rolls not even on the pp if I may ask?

Today for lunch, hubby suggested we get a Lamb Curry toasted sandwich from Katz Curries, Northwold Junction.But I forgot - on Mondays they're closed.Since I parked right in front of the Fat Cake City, I thought - why not.I think the 1st time I saw a Fat Cake City was end of 2017, beginning of 2018 at Olivedale. Then I was still eating lots and lots of sweets, chocolates, desserts, cakes, etc.So I saw the sign of the shop - Fat Cake City - and my 1st thought was: hmmmmmm, cakes!!!! They must serve you big (fat) slices of yummy cakes .... wonder what flavors they'll have ..... hahahahahaha. Noooo, it was 'vetkoek'.So without having any idea of the size of the 'vetkoek', I ordered a large Curry Mince, a large Chicken Mayo and a small portion of chips. My gosh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The vetkoeke filled the take-away container!!!!!! The curry mince was delicious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And my chicken mayo - absolutely smashing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yum chips too. And that was altogether R128. Not bad!Vetkoeke was perfectly cooked - like I remember them from childhood.Friendly staff, speedy service!!!

Good food not gourmet but good take away food. The prices are good. They can get busy then there is a bit of a wait

Have bought very nice vetkoek here in the past, but sad to say the ones we bought yesterday made both my husband and me sick. Will not take the chance again, if they can serve off food once, nothing stops them from doing it in the future.

Reviewing their 'burger' only, which comprises of an oily vetkoek with an oily burger patty. Absolutely horrible.

1st time I thought I'm seeing things when I noticed all the ladies have attitude when you are buying. They always don't have fat cakes and if they have they not warm. Their fat cakes are not well cook/done inside. Change your stuff to save your business.

The food was horrible . Please find a way to cook better fat cakes for people . All I will say is my family is currently fighting for their lives due to this cakes from fat cake city . Be careful please
