I got the Turbo for my car repaired with them and I was super happy about their service. They asked that I return the car after 1000km so they can check if the turbo is working fine which we did. Imagine my surprise when I got a quote from them for over R41 000 with a whole list of things they are saying are wrong with my car which is moving and has not indicated an issue at all to my husband and I. I am shocked that they wasted our time by creating a need for us to return the car only to be told that it need more work which has nothing to do with the Turbo. I know its Jan and business are desperate for work but this is outrageous. If there is anything wrong with my car I will be the first to know just as I did when the turbo had issues. DONT WASTE MY TIME TRYING TO MAKE SALES FOR JANUARY BY CREATING PROBLEMS IN PEOPLES CARS.

Unfortunately I’ve been misled by the high Google Review Score of 4.9 for this workshop called Kohler Motors Parklands. Due to the high Score I decided to take my car to Kohler Motors for a B-Service of my Mercedes C220 CDI, which I regret deeply. When I dropped my car there, the Receptionist told me that they will do a ‘bumper to bumper’ check and let me have a quote. I told him that my last service was done in February 2022, but the kilometer limit of 15000 was reached already for this service. Therefore I asked him not to replace certain filters, if they are not needed to be replaced. I also told him that I feel a bit of a vibration in idle position and when driving. The Receptionist (who also didn’t spell my name right and had the wrong vehicle specs. on the quote) didn’t tell me anything about costs involved for this ‘check’. A few hours later I received a quote from Kohler Motors via email with an amount of R18,515.54! I checked the quote and they did exactly the opposite of which I was asking for, putting all kinds of filters etc. on the quote. As I was reluctant to accept the quote and the Service & repair, the Receptionist charged me R747.50 for the ‘check’. Then I went to another workshop in order to get a second opinion and they were shocked to see for which unnecessary items, spares and labor Kohler Motors wanted to charge me. Eventually I paid R7072.00 for the service and repair of my vehicle at the ‘second-opinion’ workshop. I herewith highly recommend to anyone to check your quote before you’re going ahead with the Service of your vehicle at Kohler Motors Parklands. Get at least a second opinion. By the way as the workshop manager Neil couldn’t make a decision wrt to a refund of the R747.50 that I requested, he gave me the owner’s cell phone number. I called the owner Rene on 06th October 2022 and explained the situation to her. But instead of listening to my concerns, she had the audacity to tell me that I should be glad that they only charged me for 1 hour labor instead of 2 hours they usually do for the ‘check’. Well, maybe another reason not to take your car to this workshop!

My partner took my car in the other day to get the Aircon regassed. The car was in all day so we decided to call to see if it was ready for collection. We were then told that they regassed it and that the compressor wasn't working. They then sent a quote of R14000 to have it repaired. Not ideal before Christmas so we shopped around and found a garage that had amazing reviews and said that they could do it for considerably less. So we dropped it off at the garage and after an hour they called us to say the Aircon is working perfectly and only needed regassed! Now I'm not one to write negative reviews unless absolutely warranted to do so. However, there is nothing worse than a garage trying to take advantage of customers who are not mechanically minded. At first I was willing to give the benefit of the doubt but if he had regassed it like he said that he did, them it would have worked. Our Aircon is now icy cold. Very disappointing. Despite their great reviews, please take my review into account before sending your car here.
