I am reviewing the new network provider from Capitec. Yes they are still new and yes their data don't expire but... So far there is something wrong. I have called about 3 times already since i switched. The network is not stable at all. I have signal and data and nothing wrong with my device as stated by the operator. I had to do connection reset take out sim card resart and 5 hours later the network does the same. No connection. You may have whatsapp messages waiting... This is not good. As nurse i cant have network failure. This all happens not while it is loadshedding. We have electricity and no connection.

I am actually shocked how poor the service level of the call centre is. After asking an agent to phone me back at 17:30 a week ago as I was driving at the time, he simply ignored the request. They continued phoning me during working hours, ignoring my request that they do so AFTER my working hours (they operate until 19:00 so it should not be an issue at all). After lodging a complaint on Monday, saying the agent had not returned the call at the agreed upon time outside my working hours, they call me today - no less than nine times! Again during my working hours. Total disregard for their clients. Do not recommend banking with them.

Horrible bank to bank with and work for. Please save yourself as a black person and DO NOT work at the head office. I experienced racism on a daily from my boss and colleagues, and I don’t wish my experience on anyone else.

I have never experienced such bad service. I’m shattered beyond belief. I opened a funeral plan with capitec and unfortunately lost my relative who was on the cover. They refused to pay out the claim and said they’ll pay within a week. I took loans to help my family bury hoping they will pay out. They refuse to pay out, they keep sending me to other departments whenever I ask for my funds back. I have to cover loans now. They do not give me a proper response every time I call. I keep sending emails to ask for an update and nothing is happening. I am honestly going through the most right now and would advise against capitec. ABSOLUTELY DEVASTATED!!!ZERO STARS!!!

If I could give you guys a ZERO I would! Most unprofessional services. Being on the phone for the past 1 hour and 20 minutes to get technical support. My goodness. I was with MERCANTILE BANK for years and never experienced such bad service. Your merger is certainly not working and looking at Capitec's reviews on the internet it is no surprise that nothing works. Hope Capitec executives start investigating why your telephones are not answered and training your staff to direct client to the correct services department! I am angry and frustrated!

if I could it would have been 0 (zero). Money lost even though I phone immediately after I accidently transferred the money to the wrong person via cellphone banking. The call centre could not make up there mind on what the procedure was. The one moment they said that the money is frozen and will not be available to the other person.I asked more than once that if the money will be frozen. They said yes. I made it clear that I'm in dispute with the transaction I made.Still same answer you can go and make a civil case and try and recuperate the money in that way.Then on the other hand they said that the other person must okay that theycan reverse the wrong transaction. They charge you for every call they have attempted.After years of being loyal to the bank, they have now made it clear that the normal people doesn't matter. In my opinion if I had millions and told them I'm going to move to another bank due to the lack of service. They would have reacted differently.Thus I will start the process of maybe looking for a new bank.
