Black Horse Trails

My daughter and I joined a 2h outride in the Wildernis Bos in a party of eight horses. We had riders of all experience levels from 1st time to experienced and everyone enjoyed. The trotting was a hang on for dear life experience, but the horses are well trained to ride in groups. Thoroughly enjoyable!

Me and my boyfriend went on the 11km rockpool trail and we loved it. Our guide was lovely and we had some information about the surroundings. I am an experienced rider, he is not, and we both enjoyed the ride lot. The horses are super calm and listen very well. They know their way, so that makes it easy for beginners.The rockpool is really wonderful to cool down in, super nice to add to the ride, especially on a hot day.All in all, would really recommend!

Lovely little outdoor venue that we had to try out. Their platter was more than enough for 2 people and very yummee. Whole assortment of cheeses, meats, olives etc. We also tried the salted caramel milkshakes and it has my 1st position for my milkshake recommendations in the area. One of the best milkshakes around. Made with lots of ice cream.

Love, love, loved this adventure. We took a gentle hour and a half trek around the stunning Outeniqua mountains with our informative guide teaching us about life here and the treasures of South Africa. The farm is a lovely place with many animals a cafe and friendly staff, slow things down and spend some time here, you will enjoy.

This farm is amazing!First of all booking you into a riding tour is very easy and they are quite spontaneous, that's at least what I experienced, because I booked us in at night and the next morning we had our tour. It was just us (2 people) and our lovely guide. It was amazing. Can highly recommend Black horse trails!

Absolutely love Black Horse Trails. I have been three times over the last few years and will come back whenever I am on the area.The guides are friendly, the horses are soft and gentle in nature and you can see they are cared for deeply.The trail is stunning, winding through forests and mountains and ending up in a refreshing dip by the waterfall.They also cater excellently to skill level and won't let you do anything you are uncomfortable with. At the same time they make sure more comfortable riders get to go on a canter and live their dreams too.Highly recommend. Great afternoon or morning out for adventure!

Wanting to do something nice and rather outside for my husband's 50th - I saw Black Horse Trails recommended and immediately phoned Andrea. Fortunately she had space for the next morning. Although we love horses, we are not horse riders - we've been on horseback a couple of times while my daughter of 13 has never been on a horse alone. I didn't have to worry though as the horses are so well mannered and Andrea, Neo and team show you the ropes. Thanks Andrea, we had a lovely experience! The horses are magnificent, each with their own personality! The trail through the forest is beautiful as well as the scenery when out of the forest - you feel on top of the world. We will definitely be back and I'll have a bit more courage next time! ;-)You won't go wrong booking a horse trail with Black Horse Trails!

Family of five non experienced cowboys/girls but still had a great Horseback riding with the owner & her daughter - we can highly recommend this experience. Do not forget to buy & taste the great coffee & home made cakes after the ride (need to compensate for the calories the horses has lost :-) )
