Poor service and communication. Took my suitcase on the 16Aug2022 to get a quote to replace one wheel. I was told the suitcase will be delivered to their Woodstock workshop the next day and they will call me in a week with a quote. I followed up last week and was told by a very incompetent guy that they will get back to me on the promise date." I asked him what does the "promise date" actually mean-is it the day it will be fixed by or the day you will get back with the quote cause the week has passed and no one contacted me with a quote. He straight out told me he doesn't know what the promise date mean. Today is the 1st Sep. No communication from them and they dont answer their phone. With all these negative reviews it is clear that something fishy is going on. It is impossible for any business to be incompetent on this level."

I went to change my car key battery here, the salesman was resistant to give me a receipt and said l must go to my car to check if the keys are working without a receipt until l persisted on it. That was wierd.

Barksole - Tygervally. The most pathetic place I ever had to deal with. They have excuses all the time. There service is just horrendous.

The man at the front counter was extremely unwelcoming, unfriendly and dismissive. Will never take my shoes here again. The samd behavior was displayed when we dropped off the shoes.

DO NOT take your shoes to this place.They managed to destroy a pair of my Caterpillar Boots which retails for almost R4k.A simple heal stitching job resulted in them deciding they need to sand/grind the whole circumference of both boots.They owened up to the fact that they stitched the sole skew, so rather than remove and redo. They decide to hack the boots by basically butchering and galling the sidewals of the sole. They couldn't even manged to do that properly and sanded/grinded the profile horribly, leaving deep sanding and galling marks.The owner seemed nice, but sorry lady.You are gonna replace these boots and guess what. You do not get them in SA. You'll have to import them for me, just like I did.Its SHOCKING the level of workmanship they try to smeer off to the customers.If you dont, Im gonna report you to the CPA and they force you to replace the boots.Sies man... I worked hard to be able to afford these boots.

Total lack in customer service. Even though they mess up, they still feel like they have to make money out of you. Never coming to this store again.REPLY TO OWNER: As stated over the phone before I gave this review, I don't believe R50 covers the time and effort I had to go through to procure my own laces after they got lost in your warehouse, and frankly it doesn't at all make up for the rude experience that I have walked away from here.If you look at my docket number you will see that I handed in my laced boots in May, and that since May your staff knew that my laces where lost and still have not found suitable laces. I was called in only once (a month after the fact) to look at laces (from your own store) that weren't even long enough to fit into the boots(so no one even checked to see if it might be suitable). I was then told by your staff to find laces on my own and that they will pay for it.Now I have indeed done that and replaced the laces with the actual CAT brand, and you rudely tell me over the phone that It was my own choice to replace the laces myself" and "giving more that R50 of on this job will mean that no money is made on the job".Is that really how customers should be treated? Took boots to get new heals. One heal kept coming loose. Husband fixed with glue. Came loose again. Phoned. Gentleman says bring back Went there to have it redone. Lady says this is not our work. My husband described the 2 gentleman we dealt with and what was said. Also what we paid. He described how he and othercustomers had to wait for one to come back in shop hours. They did redo a bad job, but after being dishonest. Will for sure not refer anyone there!

I handed in a pair of shoes which needed a patch repair and to be resoled. They charged me R700 and told me it would take a week and at most two weeks. I returned to the store after three weeks only to be told that the shoes weren't resoled yet!!! After lots of apologizing the job that was supposed to be completed a week ago took an additional 6 hours. I doubt they would've even gotten to my shoes if I hadn't gone to them. I was offered no discount or rebate for the terrible service

Stopped by the store yesterday to enquire about the cost of having a rubber sole placed over the already existing sole of a noisy ankle boot. I didn't have the shoes with me so I really just wanted an idea of the costs involved.The man at the front counter was extremely unwelcoming, unfriendly and dismissive. He acted like I was a nuisance for asking him about an estimate. When I turned back to ask another question he didn't even look up at me. He acted as though opening his mouth to answer any of my questions was a huge and annoying task!Needless to say, I will not return to this branch.

Took 2 pairs of shoes to the Tygervalley Barksole branch on the 13th of December. Buckles needed replacing. To date 12 January 2023, and my shoes are still at their factory. Never will I use them again.
