The whole process has felt debilitating. Whats advertised on the website should not be taken at face value.PS: ALL OUR HELPERS ARE EXPERIENCED

The smart helper was great, she took good care of my 3 month old and she's an open and honest person. The service from Smart Helper Center was great during the onboarding process, however when they had to pay the smart helper there was a problem. The helper was not paid all the money we agreed upon, she was paid R1300 less. I enquired about the deductions made on her salary since I was told that I will be given the details but they never did. I asked the helper if she received her payslip (which the Center claims that they give to the helpers), she said she has never received one since she started working under Smart Helpers Center. Upon my request, and I am assuming her request too, she finally received her payslip and she was told that there were deductions for a loan on her salary which she did not know about. The loan did not appear on the payslip.She enquired about the loan but they just told her that they will take up with accounts.Smart Helpers Claim to give a full HR service at an extra cost to the person hiring the helper, but in my experience they did not hold up to those claims.

Smart helpers is a scam, please do not pay the placement fee before they have signed the contract and sent you your helper! After I paid the placement fee, the helper they sent did not report for duty and her replacement left my house in a mess.

Smart Helpers is vey useless and incompetent. They don’t vet their workers all they care about is placing people. They exploit their workers and don’t even pay them their full salary. I wouldn’t recommend this agency if you want peace and consistency and value for money!

I had high expectations when I reached out to Smart Helpers for assistance to find the best helper based on their reviews online but I guess we can’t all be as fortunate. They were helpful at first until they placed my preferred candidate elsewhere, this was after I signed the contract and processed payment. They couldn’t explain to me why they placed her elsewhere. I soon had to review other profiles and select a 2nd option which I did. My helper reported for duty but fell sick soon after. I informed Smart Helpers that my helper was off sick but they were not aware that she started reporting for duty which I found odd and they did not check up on the helper who was seriously ill and in hospital. My experience with Smart Helpers is that although they make the effort to keep in touch with the employer they do not take the same initiative to keep in contact with the helpers, this then forces the employer to be the middle person between the agency and the employee/ helper which was not the service I was looking for. I since decided to end my contract with Smart Helpers.I had to edit my review after numerous attempts to contact Smart Helpers regarding payment due to the helper that was assisting me before falling ill, she has not been paid to date. So I’ll add to the list of complaints that they do not pay their helpers.

Apart from the agents missing consultation call appointments, the service was quick and efficient. I was able to narrow the shortlisted candidates down to those who would likely meet my needs.

If I could give a 0 star rating I would. NO!! Stay away as far and as quick as possible, just a few of the challenges I have been facing1. Fake references on helpers2. Uif not being paid for the helper I employed yet they deduct UIF from her salary and charge me a smart compliance fee monthly.3. I am spending more time on admin monthly that what they are wrt the employees’ rights and payslips4. They exploit their employees by not communicating rights and contract terms and conditions to them properly, deductions from pay etc.. to say the least5. Poor communication and feedbackIn summary: a bunch of incompetent thieves

I came to smart helpers center for training. The staff was so friendly ,elaborating and engaging us.

If I could give 10 stars, I would. Incredibly easy to use website and quick, professional and friendly responses and communications. My enquiry was quickly responded to by knowledgeable personnel and an email sent with CVs and video clips of suitable candidates that met my requirements. Highly recommend them.
