Solar MD

It is a battle to get advise from technical people. I battled for 3 hours to try and get some assistance with my logger. Cannot log on. You cannot talk to technicians. They only communicate via whatsapp. I am 75 years old and was on hands and knees and sometimes lying on my side while trying to fix problem for two hours. Was only sent diagrams and written instructions which I was unable to do. I explained my situation and asked if I could phone someone and get assistance that way only to be told via wattsapp again that I must follow previously sent instructions. Since then I phoned head office twice to explain my predicament, but only got voice mail.

If you want a true partnership, SolarMD are the people to deal with. We are super greatful to be working with them and will continue to support and promote them as this is the type of company that will create a big difference in SA.

They have always made a good qaulity battery, but their qaulity and support is slipping. Also to get email responses is a problem. The logger setup is also tough, for every port you want to use, you have to ask them to activate the port. The android app for the logger does not work, and has not worked since I have had the logger installed. The finish on the battery enclosure is poor, the powder coating does not look great, full of bubbles. The top cover was also scratches fresh out of the box. This is a 14.3kwh battery, I have ordered another one, but not sure if it's the rite choice currently.

Their customer service team is extremely knowledgeable and always willing to go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. Absolutely shocking after sales service. The solar battery went down. We have now been without a battery for over 3 weeks. We were advised that they were sending us a new battery last week. Today we were informed that they are going to start fixing our battery this week and would have to wait for its repair. The battery isn't even a year old! We always look to support local companies, but customer care and service is of utmost importance to us. I would source an alternative company who have a strong after sales service ethic instead of using Solar MD

I have a Solar Md installed and needed technical support but there is no answer . Do they still exist or is there any other telephone number that exist that I can use to get feedback on when my 2nd 15 kw battery will arrive. Or can anyone direct me to another supplier that would be able to help with a alternative that I can pair with my existing system. The other concern is how would Solar MD honour there warranty on my existing installation. Been waiting for more than 6 weeks for delivery. Also see comments on Hallo Peter. All the issues are related to no after sales service. Just shows that the culture of customer service is not there anymore and it is a hit and run situation. Please do your homework before doing the purchase, first impressions could be deceiving.
