Absolute nightmare! The plan we agreed with them was to pack up the house on Friday and move/unpack/reassemble all furniture into the new house (just down the road) on Saturday. But their workers didn't arrive until almost 11am each day and they didn't send enough people despite follow-up calls from both us and the movers, saying it wasn't adequate to remain on schedule. On Saturday night, our family, housekeeper, nanny and tenant were all looking for a hotel to stay in because our beds/linen weren't yet ready in our new house.Even worse, on Sunday after we were supposed to have vacated the rental property, the new tenants and their moving company arrived before all of our stuff had even been disassembled packed/removed from the house!! The movers got in an argument with the new tenants and insults were thrown in both directions, very unprofessionally.Biddulphs was still unpacking on Monday, 2 days after the job should've been completed... and it was rushed, when them just leaving the unpacked boxes in random places and departing without reassembling everything or placing furniture/rugs properly. We even had to get a trailer and hire people to help with the move all weekend (to make up for Biddulophs' incompetence)!!We ended up with some of the new tenants' items being brought to our house, and a few big items left behind. To top it all off, the way that many items were packed was not at all acceptable. For instance, they just dumped all the toys out of well organized crates/boxes into one huge carton (see photos), which not only mixed everything up unnecessarily (causing 2 days of wasted time, sorting it out in the new house), but also many toys were damaged because no packing paper was used and heavy items were on top of light or fragile ones. Plus, several plastic storage crates were cracked/ruined because the movers carelessly stacked big ones inside smaller ones then wrapped them tightly when tapeWhat angers me the most is that we were told that they are among the most reputable moving companies in the area, so we paid a LOT more for their services than all other competitors quoted - - and they make you pay in full up front.Friends of ours used Biddulphs moved from Pretoria to Cape Town a week before our move and they also had a bad experience. Apparently, the packing job was horrible, with Biddulphs even putting planted pots/soil into big cartons that got flipped upside down.I highly regret using them and would STRONGLY advise anyone else to avoid contacting them!!!

Excellent moving company! Biddulphs made moving from Pretoria to Plett such a breeze, and after getting 5 quotes from various moving companies, Biddulphs also offered the most competitive price. Will 100% recommend and use them again.

Worst moving experience from ZA to Gulf. Took forever to finish packing and were so rude when given feedback. Mixed things for different rooms in same boxes in with no clear labelling. High value items not properly wrapped and some were damaged. I would not recommend them!

Very professional. Met me on time at my storage facility. Had to pick up an extremely heavy safe. They had all the tools on hand to move it from the back of the storage to the front where a crane driver was all prepared with lowering the crane and tying it up and lifting it onto the truck. They secured it safely on the truck. This was all fine in less than 15 Minutes. They then followed me to my delivery address, where the crane lowered it to the ground. They used a “trolley” to get it inside. I was so scared that lifting it over the step on the patio, that the tiles would crack, but they placed a metal sheet on the ground and wheeled it in and no tiles were cracked. They put it in the exact spot that I wanted it as I would never be able to move it on my own. They knew exactly what they were doing and once we arrived at the delivery address, it took them about 10 minutes to offload. You couldn’t ask for more professional service. All the staff were very friendly and I was happy with the quotation. Highly recommended.

Late to start loading (2hours) then loaded for 8 and a half hours. Only delivered next day from 9 to seven. Packers packed haphazerdly. Furniture and boxes and plants between one another. Many things arrived broken also antique furniture. The workers were on slow mode all the time. A VERY VERY BAD EXPERIENCE

I recently relocated from KZN to Johanesburg and we regret using Biddulphs International.We took out insurance for our goods and they are a fsp but did not explain.We insured our goods for higher amount but we were told to adjust it to a lower amount which was quoted.Their staff damaged several items and staff are unprofessional,staff member requested to use the toilet and urinated all over the seat and laughed,their staff member carries furniture in the rain with slippers,Staff wear environserve uniform.They did not collect my dog kennel and bird cage which I paid for and also insured,they now don't want to assist and pass the buck to the insurance, their staff member loaded shelves which they damaged and now their insurer confirms theu won't pay as the items was not on the inventory,they damaged my plastic storage containers and don't want to pay as the items were not noted in the inventory,but they damaged it.They damaged my stairway scrapping items on the stairway,their ceo is very quite and does not want to communicate,please do yourself a favor and stay away from Biddulphs International poor pathetic service!

I was so thrilled to get all my goods within 3 months with no damage or delays. Kudos for employing people with special needs. Will definitely do business with you again.
