Builders Express Vredenburg

I think they need to put more workers on the floor in order to help and assist clients. Very frustrated if there's no help and you are looking for a product. I also noticed that their staff is playing lotto or check their lotto tickets during working hours while we as clients struggle to be helped. I personally did not find a product myself and one of the staff members from the paint department come to my rescue also found no one on the floor in that particular area.walked around like in 5min .

For a newish store, great, not all the staff are competent but I did meet a lady in the building/construction material section who was very competent and helpful.Again has most items one typically expects from a Builders store.Not sure if I am off target but items seem to be very pricey/ expensive as I do shop around at stores like Pinro or Agri

I have been there a number of times since November and the biggest issue I have is the service at the tills, also no assistance on the floors unless you go looking for someone. The service at the seperate building counter is very helpful, but the rest is non existent. I completed my transaction today at the till without so much as a morning, not one word said other than tap! Yesterday at the till I got a wave in the air as a lady walked passed, apparently this meant that I had to make my way over the till on the left. Over December a cashier did tell me to come to her till, looked that I had too many items and said no no no, go to her (another till) same size till etc but clearly wasn't in the mood. It is a stunning store but I always leave slightly aggravated.

I enquired on pricing of doors from Pieter and his colleague (Chantelle I think). What a pleasure!!!! What customer service!!!! I know that desk is usually quite busy with people needing assistance and really didn't expect such patience and beautiful service. Well done Builders.....you have employed Gems.....they deserve recognition!!!!

Perfect spot for all your building and home improvement supplies. Staff are very friendly and assist you with a smile. Aunty Zaza is a darling and always has a smile on her face.

Has absolutely anything and everything you may need, but the prices are expensive compared to it nearest competitors.Not sure if there is a customer rewards programme for discounts, this might help.I can understand that an operation that big must have extremely high overheads.

I am giving them 2 stars for the simple reason, SERVICE other than the people who is very helpfull, i can buy a piece of lumber at 08h00, but if i need the correct sizes, i need to wait till 09h00 or later to get it, i wait till 08h00 for them to open, allthough i am in a hurry, but then i need the service they advertise and proud of. Its just my feeling. Bigger stars, bigger service. Thank you.

SERVICE PLEASE!!!Even though we were very impressed with the size and layout of the store, the service was non-existing. After a few employees just walked straight past us - and it was quite obvious that we were looking for something. - we searched the store to get someone to help us. And even after we got someone to help us, this dude was clearly either not in the mood to help or just clueless . Definately room for improvement there!

Love the fresh plant section and in-store descriptive lay out, makes for a great shopping experience or a quick pop-in.

Very neat and tidy store. Has everything you looking for and more. Staff is very helpful.
