Bloc 11 - Paarden Eiland

Hosted my son's 10th birthday at Bloc 11. We invited some of his friends to join in a beginners lesson. The facilitator and staff were great and accommodating. The kids had a blast.

Wow!! This is an amazing place!It is a top notch climbing (bouldering) gym, definitely one of the best in the province.It has everything you might need and all that you would want, at really reasonable prices! They also offer some epic deals.It is run well, the people are friendly and helpful, it is easy and fast to register; in one word it is a breeze.The climbing is world class! The routes are expertly set out and all the equipment/gear is in mint condition.By far the best part of Block is the people, the vibes, they are a fantastic crowd and will definitely have you hooked as a beginner rock climber and will keep you coming back as a experienced climber.Thanks B11!!!

Great staff, great vibes - maybe a bit small in size but there are 2 clubs available.

Great vibe with some awesome climbing/bouldering, and definitely a must visit in Cape Town. The mats are really soft, which is nice. But almost too soft so watch your knees. The grading of the problems progress nicely from easy too hard with a little bit for everyones style of climbing. There is parking out front but it is limited the entrance is not wheelchair accessible.

Best bouldering gym in Cape Town by far. Such a great community and always good vibes.

This is a climbing gym with weights if u wanna work out. Great music have a restaurant on top, they also sell alcohol but u need your ID. There is a Physiotherapist, and a store that sells climbing gear in side so please join.

Bloc is the gateway to climbing and bouldering.The place is a family and the pads are so soft that it feels like you are lounging on couches all over the place.The routes are fantastic and every one feels like a little love letter to your fingers and toes. The setters put a lot of effort in and update routes frequently so even if you climb twice a week you'll seldom have nothing new to try.The grades also vary from absolute beginner to extremely advanced so you'll be able to slot right in.They have all the add ons you could want from a climbing gym. Warmup/training area, some weights and kettlebels, hangboards, moonboard, kilterboard, and a small yoga studio.The Yoga comes free with your climbing pass and anyone can head up to the bar/cafe area to get snacks, coffee while working remotely, or a beer after to wrap up all the chats when your body feels sufficently pumped.There is also the friendly parking attendant Frank who will help you out by pointing out parking and patiently watching your beloved Jimny or whatever you cruise around on.Almost forgot to mention the little climbing shop if you're in need of some kit or just some cool climbing swagger and last but not least there is an on-prem physio which you can book as well with particular climbing physio experience for those nasty pulley strains or that tight right shoulder.Enjoy, totaly worth it, and you'll make a bunch of new friends while you're at it! <3 :)

I had a great time with my niece as she climbed over the whole place, it is a family friendly place with friendly staff and even the climbers were very pleasant. So if you wanna take your kids or even adults just to climb some walls enjoy.

Great people - both staff and climbers. Bouldering is not easy even at level one but definitely fun to try. Discipline, mind and muscle connection get you higher. Will most certainly be back
