I have experienced terrible service over and over at this overpriced hardware shop.- Every time I go I have to walk around and ask for assistance, I get the idea that staff dodge customers (a result of bad management)- I have been rudely chased away 10 minutes before closing time- Don't buy something with a debit card. I couldn't be refunded in the past because I was told it can only be refunded to credit card. That makes no sense. I enquired further and EVENTUALLY was refunded in cash, and when I asked the cashier about these contradictory policies, they told me that they're doing me a favour and will get into trouble if their manager finds out.They also clearly delete reviews that reflect negatively on them. Take the reviews and please improve your business.

Always great service from Virtue with the paint matching. The hardware store has two levels and just about anything you would need. Always a pleasure shopping there. Big up yourselves.

If you want to be ripped off this is the place to shop. One week they didn’t charge me to cut a small piece of wood off a plank and the next week it’s R190. I have been a loyal customer for years-I will never step foot in this place again. I’ve been purchasing loads things from this store and they couldn’t just help me cut a small strip off a piece of wood. Maybe their staff should communicate the pricing, as twice they helped me for free as I’m a regular customer. The wood wasn’t even worth R190. Not to mention prices are SKY HIGH-they take advantage of the fact they are one of three only hardware stores in the Atlantic Sea Board.

Unreliable, do not deliver when they say they will. Don't phone either. Gas is now being supplied via a 3rd party vendor as laughtons are not compliant. Now being messed around by flippant, unapologetic staff. Will never use them again for gas or anything else. Pathetic laughtons. Been supprting you for 20years. How to lose customers 101. Cheers !

This place has a huge selection of DIY goods. From paint to gardening things. The staff are knowledgeable and very helpful. They listen and can help you come up with fixes at your home. Only drawback is everything is a bit pricey compared to other hardware stores
