An uncomplicated beach-side diner with the best views for miles.Staff is very friendly and helpful if you don't know your way around town.A great place for sunset drinks. Casual meals served on the outside deck makes for a relaxing end to the day.

I do not give 5 stars lightly.Kommetjie fully deserves it. Delicious meals. Each of our party ordered something different. Nothing but praise and happy faces all round. Portions generous. Service friendly and efficient. Two nights in a row. Dessert (chocolate mousse cake and chocolate volcano) highly recommended.The location is beyond words. If you can get the timing right, try catching the breathtaking sunset.

I’m from Cape Town and travel to strandfontein regularly for work. I am never disappointed here, Duncan and his team deliver brilliant food and service in an epic location, definitely a stop to be made along the Weskus.

WOW!!!! This little restuarant in the paradise of Strandfontein on the West Coast serves delicious food and as a takeaway, nogals! Due to the then current lockdown regulations when we visited, only takeaway meals were allowed. It was with apprehension that the Seafood Basket was ordered, 2 of them! Our orders were freshly made and neatly packaged. Found a seat / swing further up with a beautiful view of the sea and crags, sat down and opened the boxes; what greeted our eyes were generous portions of Mussels, Prawns, Calamari and Fish, accompanied by crispy chips and a tasty sauce. It was absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection and calls for more! All this for only R145.00!!!! This seafood basket is the best I have eaten and as a takeway, nogals. Thank you Kommetjie Restuarant! We will be back, hopefully next time as a sitdown With wine and great view from the outside deck

Delicious seafood and we were very impressed with both the taste and the presentation of the food. It's clear to see the chef takes pride in their work.This would have been a 5 star if not for the waitresses. The two waitresses that served us seemed not to be interested in serving our table, so the one passed us to the other. And both of them were rude. Not even a smile or the basic courtesy of trying to be friendly.
